Although the skull of Heyuannia huangi is not well preserved，the preserved parts of the premaxillae indicate that the skull is crestless.This is similar to Ingenia yanshini，Conchoraptor gracilis，Khaan Cauipteryx zoui and in both upper and lower jaws in Incisivosaurus gauthieri.The quadrate is nearly vertical，whereas it is sloped anterodorsally in Citipati osmolskae（Clark et al.，2001）.The morphology of the lower jaw of Heyuannia huangi is similar to Oviraptor philoceratops and“O.”mongoliensis，Conchoraptor gracilis（Barsbold，1986），Ingenia yanshini（Barsbold et al.，1990），Citipati osmolskae，Khaan mckennai（Clark et al.2001）and Nemegtia barsboldi（Lü et al.，2004）.In all above-mentioned taxa the lower jaw is short and deep，the upper margin of the external mandibular fenestra is formed by the surangular and the dorsal branch of the dentary，and the surangular has a middle branch which projected into the mandibular external fenestra.The ventral surface of the lower jaw is relatively convex，and the mandibular symphysis is short，but it is different from that of Caenagnathus（Sternberg，1940；Cracraft，1971；Currie et al.，1993c），where the lower jaw is slender and shallow，the mandibular symphysis is also longer，the external mandibular fenestra is elongate with a dorsal margin formed by the surangular，and the surangular had no middle branch.The lower jaw of Incisivosaurus gauthieri（Xu et al.，2002b）is also slender and shallow，so，this is the primitive state for oviraptorosaurs.Heyuannia huangi differs from Conchoraptor gracilis，in that the length of the first digit is approximately equal to that of the second digit on the manus，and the ilium has a sharply pointed postacetabular process.The transverse section of distal caudal vertebrae in Heyuannia huangi is higher than width，but it is wider than high in the distal caudals of Conchoraptor gracilis（GIN 110/18）and Microvenator celer（Makovicky&Sues，1998）.Caudal centra that are wider than high was regarded as an autapomorphy of Microvenator celer by Makovicky&Sues（1998）.The similar structure present in Conchoraptor gracilis indicates that this character is not an autapomorphy of Microvenator celer.The first chevron is located between the first and second caudal vertebrae，similar to the condition in the specimen BPV-112 and the enantiornithine bird Sinornis（Sereno et al.，2002），the Confuciusornithidae（Ji et oviraptorids are just some of the many apparent convergently evolved characters between birds and some theropod dinosaurs，although the reasons for these convergent adaptations are not clear.The presence of three sternal ribs of Heyuannia huangi，like the unnamed oviraptorid IGM 100/979，is similar to some dinornithids，which have as few as two sternal ribs，fewer than some modern birds，which have as many as nine such as swans（Fürbringer，1888）.The number of sternal ribs is variable in basal theropods for which this character is known.Two sternal ribs are present in Sinraptor dongi（Currie&Zhao，1993a），three in Velociraptor mongoliensis（Norell&Makovicky，1999），at least four in Bambiraptor feinbergi（Burnham et al.，2000），four in Microrapor zhaoianus（Hwang et al.，2002），five in Hesperornis crassipes（Marsh，1880），Confuciusornis sanctus（Chiappe et al.，1999）and Iberomesornis romerali（Sanz&Bonaparte，1992；Sanz et al.，2002）.The smaller number of sternal ribs in some paleognathid birds is regarded as an evolutionary reversal（Clark et al.，1999）.No sternal ribs are present in the basal oviraptorosaur Caudipteryx（Ji et al.，1998；Zhou&Wang，2000）.The presence of the high number of sternal ribs present in the derived oviraptorids may be a derived character.It is a convergent character with birds.The deltopectoral crest of the humerus in Heyuannia huangi is similar to these of derived oviraptorosaurs（Barsbold et al.，1990），but it is different from these of Deinonychus and other theropod dinosaurs，where the deltopectoral crest is restricted to the proximal third of the humerus（Ostrom，1969）.The configuration of the wrist（the preserved angle between the manus and the forearm is about 60°）in Heyuannia huangi is special among theropods.This orientation is present in many fossil birds and some small feathered dinosaurs，but is not reported in medium to large sized non-avian theropod dinosaurs，in which these parts are preserved.This may be caused either by taphonomic processes or determined by anatomy or both，but it is more likely caused by the anatomy.The relationship between the semilunate carpal and metacarpals，which is similar to that of Archaeopteryx in Heyuannia huangi is acquired independently.In Archaeopteryx（Wellnhofer，1974），the semilunate carpal（Wellnhofer"s carpal（1+2））is in contact with the first and second metacarpals，but the articulating surface of the second metacarpal is much larger than the first metacarpal.Embryological evidence（Holmgren，1955）shows that the semilunate carpal is centered on the second metacarpal in modern birds.In contrast，in Velociraptor，Deinonychus，and Sinornithoides，the semilunate carpal articulated almost equally with each of the first two metacarpals（Zhou&Martin，1999）.In the primitive oviraptorosaur Caudipteryx sp.（IVPP V 12340），the semilunate carpal is not fused into metacarpals and it articulates with the metacarpals I and II（Zhou et al.，2000；pers.observation）.In Ingenia 睿思芯科创始人兼CEO谭章熹 当芯片半导体遇上“元宇宙”，会碰撞出怎样的火花？ 12月9日下午，在钛媒体集团联合大兴产促中心、国家新媒体产业基地共同主办的2021 T-EDGE 全球创新大会上，睿思芯科创始人兼CEO谭章熹博士发表了题为《RISC-V专属架构芯片赋能元宇宙》的主题演讲。 谭章熹表示，在芯片行业，大家认为“元宇宙”是未来十年巨大的机会，也是半导体行业未来的巨大增长点。其中在微软HoloLens这类AR产品上，内置全息处理器（HPU）——跟“元宇宙”非常相关的芯片。与CPU或者是GPU不同，HPU可以增强设备眼部追踪、手势追踪、场景Semmantic Labling和音效体验等。 不过，过去的HPU芯片存在高发热、高功耗、损伤电池寿命等现象，使得HoloLens功耗发热等并没有令人非常满意。因此，RISC-V这一开源的第五代精简指令集架构将有望设计出更好的HPU芯片产品，从而驱动“元宇宙”发展。 国际市场分析机构Semico Research预测，到2025年，全球市场的RISC-V CPU核心数将达到624亿颗，2018-2025年复合年增长率为146.2%，而中国将拥有全球最大的市场空间。另一家市场调研机构Tractica则预测，RISC-V的IP和软件工具市场将在2025年达到10.7亿美元，市场前景广阔。RISC—V也有望成为继ARM架构和英特尔x86之后，第三个重要处理指令集架构。 通过设计基于RISC-V架构的22nm低功耗芯片，对比基于美国Cadence公司Tensilica HiFi + ARM架构的HPU产品（例如微软两代HoloLens中的HPU），在最新DSP算法中，基于RISC-V的HPU性能可达高达4.7倍的增长，单位面积功耗发热降低超过40%，电池寿命提升211%。RISC-V的性能和功耗上均有一定优势。 谭章熹强调，RISC-V架构是“元宇宙”概念下，一个非常具有革命性的前瞻性技术，是有望驱动“元宇宙”发展的最强芯片。 感谢钛媒体的邀请，非常荣幸分享我今天演讲主题：RISC-V专属开源架构芯片赋能元宇宙。 最近，“元宇宙”行业的最大新闻是Facebook改名为“Meta”。实际上，随着新的人机交互方式的进步，“元宇宙”将是未来非常重要的经济增长点。 在芯片行业，大家认为，“元宇宙”是未来下一个十年的巨大机会。台积电（TSMC）董事长刘德音最近表示，“未来十年，AR或将取代手机，VR或将取代PC，人们将会逐步感受真实世界与虚拟世界的结合，而元宇宙硬体需求也将持续增长。” 这是一个非常大胆预测，证明着“元宇宙”是未来巨大增长点。 此外，作为行业内的半导体驱动的 科技 巨头，苹果公司认为，“元宇宙”目前不光在 游戏 领域，更多相对于AR、智能手表（Apple Watch），在他们看来，“元宇宙”正在推动后PC时代和手机时代的巨大变革。 说到“元宇宙”，其实已经发展相当一段时间。我列了几个公司和产品，比如，早期的Google Cardboard，你可以用手机进行VR体验，这是比较原始VR的配置；再比如，微软公司推出的HoloLens产品；小公司Valve有自己产品；而Oculus后来被Meta收购，是扎克伯格的“元宇宙”中非常重要的组成部分；另一个大玩家苹果公司，则有望在明年看到他们的革命性产品。 实际上，微软于2016年推出首款HoloLens，至今已发展了两代。开始定位于AR（增强现实技术），后来二代定位为智能眼镜平台。目前HoloLens主要用于教育、医疗和工业应用领域，提供现实和虚拟世界应用的场景。从技术上来说，HoloLens做的非常不错，只是价格有点贵。 当“解剖”HoloLens，你会发现里面包含光学镜片和手机处理器。其中，HoloLens两代搭载不同处理器，核心组件是全息处理器（HPU），可以增强设备眼部追踪、手势追踪、场景Semmantic Labling和音效体验等。值得注意的是，HoloLens相当于这颗HPU芯片，既不是GPU也不是CPU，而是跟元宇宙非常相关的AR设备专用芯片。 Microsoft HoloLens第一代HPU芯片使用的是基于28nm制程工艺，用了24个Tensilica cores。2019年微软发布的第二代HoloLens，是高通的XR1平台（也可以说是骁龙845），是目前所有VR、AR设备里面，算力最强、性能最强的一颗芯片。相比上一代，算力大概有1.7倍的增长，包括内存带宽、计算性能也有提升，前者是2倍，后者是1.7倍。 具体剖析下来，这颗将近80平方毫米的芯片，一大半面积就是HPU，包括大规模向量浮点处理单元和定点处理单元两类，一共加起来是基于26个Tensilica处理器的>1TOP的可编程计算能力，以增加扩展指令的方式，提升性能需求。 不过，虽然HPU是目前最好的芯片产品，但从发热和单位面积功耗方面，并不是令人满意。 数据显示，HoloLens在30分钟内能达到85度，而85度下设备散热就变得非常困难，最后导致HPU成本和HoloLens成本高昂，整个设备价格卖到3000美元，只能定位于工业领域，限制住了它的发展。 那么，我们即将进入2022年，能不能用现在新的开源技术做到最好的HPU芯片？ 答案是Yes，我们可以用RISC-V做到。 睿思芯科团队所做的核心，是我们团队在Berkeley从事研发十多年的指令集架构技术——RISC-V。它是第五代精简指令集架构。 实际上，现在ARM架构就是精简指令集。那么跟ARM相比，RISC-V是完全开源，并且比ARM精简高效的模块化设计芯片架构。它可以根据需求进行模块拼装和组合，可以在端侧和云侧同时启用。对开源社区生态来说，基于RISC-V架构的芯片是非常安全可靠的处理器。 RISC-V大概发展了十年，从最早定义这一家精简指令集，十年间经过了芯片定义、软件测试和MCU级别处理器广泛应用，以及到现在使用在更多AI和更复杂的处理器当中，来到了爆发临界点。 如今，大公司纷纷研究或采用RISC-V处理器。例如，今年英特尔宣布和SiFive达成合作；苹果也在进行基于RISC-V的研发。而RISC-V也从学校里走到了工业界，获得了大量的行业认可。大家认为，RISC-V相当于ARM和英特尔之后，第三个主要处理器指令集架构。 那么，睿思芯科作为一家创业公司，我们也做了大量RISC-V相关产品，核心是对标Tensilica。 我们做了一个有意思的实验对比，通过设计基于RISC-V架构的22nm低功耗芯片，对比美国使用Cadence Tensilica DSP（例如Hifi3z, Hifi5）+ARM架构的HPU产品，在最新DSP算法中，基于RISC-V的HPU性能可达到4.7倍的增长，单位面积功耗发热较低，发热只是Tensilica的59%左右，性能和功耗上均有一定优势，电池寿命提升211%。 假设我们使用这样技术，结合更高工艺，可想而知，这对“元宇宙”未来使用的芯片代表着新的技术突破。 我们认为，使用了RISC-V开源架构，相比ARM架构+Tensilica DSP 的处理器，在迭代速度和技术性能方面都有非常好的优势，这对于芯片行业的自主可控知识产权，是非常好的消息。 我想总结一下，RISC-V架构是“元宇宙”概念下的一个非常具有革命性的前瞻性技术。 我的分享完了，谢谢大家！ （本文首发钛媒体App，编辑 林志佳）
