关于高中英语学习方法的建议

一、 中学生学习的正确方法
达尔文说过,“关于方法的知识是最重要的知识”。许多专家学者的体会也是这样,即怎样学比学什么更重要。

中学生的学习活动,可以概括为五个环节,即课前预习,上课,课后复习,完成作业和自己安排的学习活动。这五个环节中,每一环节都反映着一个中学生的学习习惯和学习方法。

我们看那些学习优秀的学生,他们在学习方面的共同特点是:

1、有强烈的搞好学习的愿望,有勤奋刻苦的奋斗精神。现在随着中国人生活水平的提高,不少中学生产生了贪图安逸,追求享乐的倾向。于是关于学习方法的一些谬论也在他们中流传开来。例如,“突击半年,英语就能过关”。“越不用功,成绩越好”等等。其实,每一个学习上成功的学生都是付出了艰苦的劳动的,单凭小聪明、临时突击是学不好功课的。

2、会自学。即自己制定目标,自己安排计划,自己选定任务,自己监督自己。学习的成功固然与外界的诸多因素有关,如家庭、教师、同学、社会等等。但学生本人是内因,是起主要作用的因素。一个学习好的学生一定是学习的主人,而不是学习的奴隶。他会根据自己的爱好和特点,为自己选定有希望达到的目标。他会参照教学的进度和自己所处的环境,为自己制定切实可行的计划。他知道自己今天该做什么,明天该做什么,而不是盲目地四处出击,临时应付。他内心对自己充满信心,同时又脚踏实地。自己定下的任务,自己一定要完成,全然不用老师和家长的催促。
3、认真读书,勤于动手。搞好学习不读书是不行的。会学习的同学,读书认真,边读边想,务求领会书中的各项理论。但是,学习任何一门知识都必须与实践相联系。只会理论上夸夸其谈,不会解题,不会做实验,学了写作理论不会写文章,学了英语语法不会与外国人交流,那就不叫真正学懂学会。会用是学习的最高境界。例如对一个学英语的学生来说,只有在他具有较好的听说读写的能力的时候,我们才能认为他学好了英语。要真正达到会用,会熟练使用的水平,必须坚持长期的不间断的训练。那些懒于实践,畏惧练习的人,哪一科也学不好。

4、及时总结,善于向别人学习。学习好的同学并不是生来就各科优秀。他们在小学、中学的学习历程中也经受过各种挫折和失败。但是他们没有在挫折面前低头。他们及时地总结学习方法上存在的问题,经过对比,找出不足,发现前进方向,以更大的干劲向前迈进。他们的另一个成功的经验是善于向别人学习,从别人的成功经验和失败的教训中,获取宝贵的财富。一个人一般在中学只能学一次,许多人快到高中毕业了才懂得如何学习,可惜那就有点儿晚了。聪明的办法是从别人的成功与失败中吸收于自己有益的东西。善于向别人学习,及时调整自己的方向,就能少走弯路,更快地进步。

5、认真对待中学学习的五个环节。课前预习要自觉,要力争自己读懂学会教师将要讲的东西,并发现自己不甚明了的地方。有条件的话,还应自己翻查资料,攻克难点。上课要积极参与活动,听讲要学会抓重点,笔记要记下关键有用的东西。课后复习要及时,可采用回想法,并善于概括集中。作业不但要完成,还要从所完成的作业中总结审题、解题的规律。时间允许的话,还可尝试用不同的方法解同一道题或翻译同一句子。最后一环是自己安排的补充内容。补充内容也不要局限于做课外习题。对中学生来说,课外阅读各种书籍、听讲座、网上查询、访问各行各业的优秀人物,都是对课内学习的有益补充。
二、 中学英语学习的正确方法
1、坚持使用,敢于实践。我们学习英语的目的,不是为了研究英语语言的规律,主要还是为了跟外国人交际,也就是能用英语听说读写译。这应该说是一种技能。而技能的掌握,光靠理论的解释是不行的,要在实践中反复地、长期地训练才能成功。因此,有志于学好英语的同学,应该赶快拿起文章阅读,打开录音机收听,张开嘴说。多接触英语,对英语的领悟就会加深,也就能总结出适合自己的好方法。对中国人来说,练好说的能力是不容易的,需要不怕出错,不怕别人笑话的勇气。中文英文,差别甚大,发音方法很不相同。开始练习说,肯定错误百出。这时候,一定要挺砖没有开始阶段的“胡说八道”,就没有一口漂亮的口语。

2、起始阶段要格外重视语音语调。由于读音习惯的不同,中国人要说出标准的英语,很不容易。这就跟外国人学中文一样,让他们说出标准的普通话,也很困难。但是,为了交际的需要,我们必须下决心掌握地道的英语语音语调。中学生年龄小,是学习语音语调的最佳时期,这个时期语音方面打下好基础,将来终生受益。而中学英语说得不好,再大一些就不好改正了。目前的中学生中,很多人用心模仿外国人的读音,他们反复听录机,一遍又一遍地纠正自己的语音语调。他们利用一切机会大声讲英语,不怕犯错误,不怕别人说自己是中国式的英语,并在听说的实践中逐步接近英美人的口音。他们的作法是值得借鉴的。学习英语,应坚持听说领先的原则,尤其在起始阶段。我们看到许多初中生,甚至小学生,发音很糟糕,却在那里用心地钻研语法规则,这真是本末倒置。须知语法规则以后是完全可以学好的,而良好的发音和口语能力一过了这一年龄段就不好弥补了。

3、抓好阅读。阅读是英语学习的一个重要方面,阅读能力是从文字中获得信息的重要能力,也是中国人学习英语的最便捷的手段。中学生应从精读和泛读两方面努力。所谓精读,就是仔细读,一句话一句话地将结构和意思搞明白。对不明白的词或短语,要翻查辞典,务求弄懂。文章读完后,还要学习归纳、综合和推理判断。有时候,将比较难的英文句子译成中文对准确的理解英文很有好处。中学英语课本中的课文和一些英语名篇都可以作为精读的材料。泛读是中学生容易忽略的一种阅读方式。所谓泛读,就是泛泛一读,只求了解大意,不去考虑句子结构和某些词汇的用法。泛读的材料多种多样,简易读物,中学生英文报纸,各类比较浅显的英语文章,均可以供中学生泛读。读这类材料时,不要一碰到生词就翻辞典,尽量靠上下文来猜测词义,除非一个生词反复出现,不知道意思实在影响理解全文,否则就不查。泛读还要讲究一定的速度,有时也不必逐词细看。泛读多了,语感就会强,还能逐步锻炼出跳读与扫读的能力。可以说,不会泛读的人,就不叫会阅读。

4、写作。中学生学英语还有一伯事要做的,就是写作。听说读写其实是互相影响,互相制约的。写的练习可以稍后进行,但高中生无论如何是应该经常写一写英文的。写作,可以使我们对英文的掌握更精确,也可以促进听说读的能力的提高。中学生写英语,开始不要长篇大论,要从写简单句练习起。先写一两句话,逐步发展到五句话、十句话。初学写作时,可以依照中文意思译成英文,慢慢地靠头脑中的英文思维直接写出英文。初学写作,主要使用小词、小句子,也就是常用词和简单句。待有一定水平了,也可以适当用一些复杂结构,如定语从句,非谓语动词短语,强调句型等等。还要练习用好连接词语,因为连接词语用好了,可以使意思表达更准确,文章更顺畅。有一点需要提及的是不要生造中国式的英文。中国人写英文,应以模仿为主,用你听过的话来说,用你读的过的句子来写。

5、背诵是英语学习的基本功。学英语,只有在死记的基础上才能活用。背诵就是死记的第一步。背诵以背小短文为好。如《新概念英语》的第二册上的小文章,内容有趣,用词浅显,语言地道,实在是练习背诵的好材料。背诵的好处很多,可以使我们熟悉英语的词汇和结构,增强语感。由于背下来的东西已在你头脑中深深扎根,这就为你在使用英语时模仿英美人的句型打下基穿否则,你该如何说?如何写呢?如果仅仅是从语法规则来编造句子,那样的英语很可能是不地道的英语。背诵的另一个好处是为未来作积累。中学时期是一个人记忆力最好的时期,中学背会的东西常常能永生难忘。没有中学时期的大量背诵,将来的在英语方面向更高层次发展就困难了。

6、词汇与语法的学习。有一种观点,认为中国人学英语,只要跟着外国人说就行了,不必学习英语语法,也不要费力气钻研词汇的用法。这种听说万能论是不符合中国国情的。中学生学习英语是有特定条件的,首先他们是中国人,中文在他们的头脑中已深深扎根,让他们在开展思维活动时完全忘掉中文是不可能的。其次,语法学习如果得法,会使学生在应用英语时更准确、更符合英美人的习惯。另外,中学生学习英语的家庭及社会环境,也决定他们不会有较多的直接与外国人打交道的机会。他们更多地是在从事阅读的活动,而语法知识,对精确地阅读好处是很多的。
认真学习语法,就是要把英语语法的基本条条记牢,并经常运用到使用英语的实践中。背例句是学语法理论的好方法,但是中学生也不必钻研语法知识过细。因为英语毕竟是活的语言,任何规则都是相对的。有同学有一种误解,以为学好语法,英语就算学好了,其实不是。语法只是对我们语言实践活动的一种帮助,学英语主要还是投入听说读写的实践。

关于词汇的学习,应坚持词不离句、句不离文的原则。背辞典对大部分人来说不合适。结合句子记单词好懂,好记,还会运用。至于说词汇量,中学生应首先掌握好课本上所学的基本词汇。当然对一些感兴趣的课外词汇记一记,也有好处,但不必专门花很多时间扩大词汇量。基础打好了,词汇量问题好解决。

学习词汇可以采用“归类”的办法,英语词汇尤其适用于“小包装”的办法。因为英语单词中有同一条规律的词往往就几个,没法作为普遍法则来归纳。例如名词中常用的不可数名词为:advice, weather, progress, news, information, furniture. 名词加了“s”意思不同的有:good (goods), sand (sands), thing(things), time(times), work(works), sky(skies), brain(brains)。归类可以使我们对此类词汇的特点有更清楚的认识,并对不同类别之间的差别有明晰的认识。
三 高三英语总复习的正确方法
高三英语总复习是高中英语教学一个重要阶段。由于学生面临着高考,这一阶段的教学就引起了学生、教师乃至全社会的关注。这一阶段的任务,不仅仅是在基础语言知识上查缺补漏,更重要的是,要使学生丰富语言使用经验、增强语感,使语言知识转化为实际使用英语的能力,使原有的能力上升到一个新的水平。同时,通过总复习,使学生更好地掌握英语学习的方法,学会自学,改进综合分析,观察,判断,想象等思维能力以及应试能力,从而提高学生的全面素质。
(一)认真学习2003年《考试说明》,仔细阅读对各个题型的说明和2002年试题。这会使你对考试的要求、范围、重点及题目式样有一个清楚的了解,从而在复习时做到心中有数,少走弯路,避免盲目性。
(二)坚持实践第一,以练习主。简明扼要地对学过的知识进行归纳总结是必要的,但决不能用很多的时间去钻研语法规则。应该把大部分时间用在阅读、写作和听力的练习上,即应用语言上。要坚持词不离句,句不离文的原则,在练习中加深理解,在练习中巩固记忆,在练习中学会应用。使用英语的能力是在使用英语的实践中培养的,并不是靠老师给讲会的。学习英语要坚持模仿为主,理解为辅,不要过分钻研为什么。有同学在学习英语时,采醛君子动口不动手”的态度,一味在那里琢磨理论,而不是抓紧时间动手写写,找出文章赶紧看看。他们最终使用英语的能力不会有大的提高。
(三)在练习时,以练习阅读为主。阅读好了,就为做好各个题型打下了良好的基穿要把阅读作为全部总复习的主要内容。在练习阅读时,要注意每天保证一定的量。要精读与泛读相结合,有的文章要仔细看,有的则只求了解故事大意即可。要逐步熟悉语言运用中的难点,如长句的结构分析、后置定语、非谓语动词的含义、关联词语的使用,以及经常出现的省略、替代和跳跃等。同时还要学会观察、分析、想象和综合,学会合乎逻辑的推理判断。在保证一定量的基础上,再练习书面表达、短文改错和单项填空等。不少同学对单项填空情有独衷,花费大量时间钻研总结,这个方向其实不对。

(四)听的练习要持之以恒。2002年和2003年的听力题,许多学生都反映不容易,说明高考对中学生英语听力的要求是比较高的。建议同学们每天练听力10-20分钟,听力材料可选用由外籍人士所读的模拟试题,要精听泛听相结合。有的段落反复听,非弄明白每一个词不可。有的则大概听听就算了。泛听对培养语感是很有好处的。练习听力的时候,要学会抓住关键词语,学会预测,并努力做到边听边分析综合。对听力测试问题的类型,即概括中心话题,推理判断,谈话细节等问题要心中有数。对常考的谈话内容,如打电话、购物、看博就餐、活动安排、表示看法等,要做到熟悉不陌生。听力的提高不是一个早上就能实现的,它是慢功夫。但经常听,肯定会有大的长进。
(五)写的练习要在写的实践中提高。许多同学在准备高考时有一个弱点,即只愿意看,不愿意动笔写。那么英语作文怎么办?只好在临考前突出写几篇完事。这其实很不对。英语书面表达在高考中占分25分,是一个重点题型,怎么可以这样对待?而写的能力是不能单靠做其他题来提高的。必须赶快行动起来,动手写东西,每天写几句,由少到多,由简单到复杂,渐渐地就会接近高考的要求。练习写东西,主要练习记叙一件事,同时也可练习写描写人,介绍地方或表示观点的小文章。初练时可主要使用常用词和常见句型。有一定基础了,再争取能用上新颖词汇和复杂结构。所谓复杂结构,也不要以为高不可攀,把简单句变为定语从句、强调句式或使用上非谓语动词短语,就是使用了复杂结构。练习写作时,还要注意内容要全,书写要工整、词数要符合要求,更重要的是,要明确是写给谁看的,交际的目的何在。练习的方式,可以自己写随笔,请教师改改,可以找带答案的写作练习试笔,也可以有空抄抄英语的小文章。抄文章和背诵文章都可以使你在不知不觉中提高了写的能力。
(六)把《考试说明》上的词汇表掌握好。词汇表上的许多名词可归类为阅读词汇,这类词知道意思,会拼写即可。但动词、介词、连词及其他常用词则必须做到四会。我们强调总复习要重视听读写,并不是说基础词汇和语法知识不重要了。只不过语法不要弄得太过分。

(七)抓好基础题 。无论什么考试,基础的东西都是最重要的。英语高考也不例外。考生应努力做到保证拿到基础题的分,力争难题的分。基础题不丢分,就保证了考试不会失败。所以在复习中,一定要结合实际情况安排练习的难度。如果水平不是很高,就一定要以练习基础题为主,不要嫌容易,不要跟别人攀比。要把基础词汇、基本句型弄扎实,要做到懂、会、熟、越临近高考越要降低难度。因为此时由于时间有限,再使自己的能力攀上一个新的高峰已不可能,而把易错但比较容易的题弄明白,弄准确则完全可以办得到。可惜有的同学在复习中做的练习太难了,费了很大功夫也收效甚微。他们以为做多难的练习就能达到多高的水平,其实并不是这样,这也取决于原来的基穿
(八)要重视思维能力和其他素质的提高。英语高考,不单单是考英语语言的运用和理解。它同时也在考查学生观察、分析、判断、综合、推理和想象的能力。例如完形填空,只有结合上下文的具体情况,经过仔细观察和分析,才可能判断准确。又如阅读理解,设问的题目大部分是让学生概括中心,猜测词义,推断语气,分析结果等等。仅仅从文字上把文章看懂,而没有良好的思维能力是做不好阅读理解题的。另外,为迎接2004年高考,考生还应注意对英美文化的了解。关注国际时事,扩大知识面,学习最新的科技动态,这将为你在新的一年高考打下良好的基础。

如何提高英语成绩

一、怎样提高阅读?

多读,精泛结合,

把握读的方法,使用浏览,查读,寻读,对不同文体采用不同的方法,就好比驾驶员开车要用不同的速度一样,

学会揣词,分析长句难句,抓住句子主干或关键词,善于找主题句,知道常见的问题怎么出:

问主题:main idea,topic sentence,mainly talk about,

问细节:5个“W”,

考推理:infer, draw a conclusion, conclude, according to... from...

问观点:idea, opinion, attitude, in... opinion,the author thinks...

语感对英语学习来说很重要,但仅凭语感是不能取得好成绩的,正确的语感是建立在扎实的基础上的。如果没有平时对语法的准确掌握和坚持不懈的大声朗诵,是无法建立好的语感的。虽然快高考了,但千万不要着急,从现在开始,语法知识点咱碰到一个掌握一个,重要的是学会划分句子结构和增加词汇量,遇到句子能读懂其意思。因为在考试中,完全是考语法的只有单选中的几个题,分值不高。

在平时学习中,也要大声朗诵许多文章来增加语感,好的语感会帮助自己做题更加得心应手 。

1。找一本2005年的高考英语词汇表,从头到尾认真背3-5遍,当然是只背你不熟的词,并且要特别记忆一下每个单词的后几个意义,如cover,采访,涉及,走......

add--补冲说,又说,advance 提前,预先。

2。 每复习一个词,尽量想一想于它相关的词:act-- action---active--inactive ---actively---activity, maybe---may be---perhaps---probably--possibly--likely,special---especial---particular--peculiar---common ---general--formal--unsual---extrordinary....

这样就能在有限时间积累并运用。

3.同义词完形、单选中都有,其实都在考具体上下文语境,既然你的 “语感和理解能力勉强还可以”,那就充分发挥你的语感,你能否试试不看完形的选项能直接作对8-10空呢?我较我的学生训练时,就是不给选项,开始有的只能填对1-2空,后来慢慢地增加到5-10 甚至更多,完形还要特别注意下文提示上文的地方,有的要到下文10几行后采提示,作后一定要复核一遍。这样训练50篇左右就可以将它提高到20分以上哦!^_^

4.书面表达建议背50篇范文,不是新概念3,而是学生优秀作文,在仔细研究每中文体的写法和每一篇的优秀句子.看一看我怎么写,人家有怎么写......再自己坚持每周写一篇.

5.单选最好作一本错题本:把每次作业及考试的易错题归类整理,并表明出错原因,以便下次避免在犯同样错误.

二、怎样学习词汇

词汇是语言的基本组成成分,要培养语言交际技能,就必须掌握一定的词汇量。同时,词汇是英语学习的基础,词汇量的多少是衡量英语水平高低最基本的标准之一。因此,词汇学习在语言教学中始终占有举足轻重的地位。

怎样才能快速提高英语成绩

首先,要学好英语,最关键的是要有兴趣。俗话说:兴趣是最好的老师。教我们英语的是一位 年轻的老师,他讲课很风趣,还总是让我们自己上台讲课,演小品。生动的英语教学,让我对英语产生了浓厚的兴趣。光有兴趣还不行,我们还得知道如何去学。

对很多同学来说背单词无疑是件很痛苦的事了。我在背单词时,不是按照单词书上的一个一个背下来,这样很容易让人产生厌倦心理,而且很容易忘。我是在每一页抽几个背,就是很随机的。在平时,我们可以制作一些小卡片,把很难记的写在上面,一有空就那出来看一下,或者可以在床头放一些卡片,每天睡觉前看几眼。更有效的就是在睡前和寝室的同学进行猜字竞赛。每次大家互相把当天学的单词猜一遍,这样就记的牢了。当然背单词最重要的是要不间断的进行温习。

学英语最关键的不仅仅是单词量的积累,还有质的问题,通过广泛阅读扩大消极词汇(即看见认识但不一定能写会用),以此促进积极词汇(听说读写四会)的积累才是上策。

背字典是有些效果,但一定要靠大量阅读来巩固。并且背字典很枯燥乏味,没有坚强的毅力和恒心是难以奏效的。听说掌握了10多门外语的王同亿就是通过背字典,但他背完一本字典后就拼命一本接着一本地读阅读材料,张思中也强调集中识词,但靠大量阅读原著来巩固。

我本人在大学时或平时的教学中也试过,都有一定的效果。

还有一种方法

1:音形义结合(把难记的词分开,找出自己熟悉的旧词,和其意义联系起来联想)

ambluence 救护车---俺不能死,pest 害虫--拍死它 ,boss---读了博士当老板,

3.找词中词:减少记忆单位

discourage --dis -c- our-age, con-text, rebelling---re- bell-ing, flight---f—light ,phenomenon phe - no—men—on (没有人)在phe 上的“现象”。。。

4. 加减字母联想:

compete----complete (比赛---完成) count----account(计算----看作,视为), noun---announce(名词―――宣布), come----comedy(来――― 喜剧), come---comera(来――相机)

5.对称平恒:

character---r-a-r(性格平衡),level,水平,天平,称,(多像天平呀)madam(e)疯女,tent--t--en--t,church--ch--ur-ch把两个ch想象成教堂的塔顶,area --a re--a,

三、怎样提高口语水平?

一般来说,衡量一个人口语水平高低主要看以下几个方面:

1.语音、语调是否正确,口齿是否清楚;

2.流利程度;

3.语法是否正确,用词是否恰当,是否符合英语表达习惯;

4.内容是否充实,逻辑是否清楚。

这些是衡量会话能力的主要标准。针对以上标准,采取相应的训练方法,大致可分作两个阶段。

第一阶段:准备阶段,主要是进行模仿。背诵。复述练习。目的是训练正确的语音。语调。提高流利程度,培养英语语感。同时,通过各种方式,如阅读。做练习题,听英语磁带,看英语录像和电影等,来扩大词汇量。掌握英语的习惯表达方式,扩大知识面和训练英语逻辑思维能力,准备会话前,要对常用的词(组)、短语等熟练掌握,“熟练”是与人会话的前提,只有熟练,在会话时才能流利。熟练的标准就是要达到不假思索地脱口而出。

第二阶段:实践阶段,主要进行大量的会话练习,与他人对话、讨论,基础好的可练习口译,自己讲英语故事等等。

(一)模仿

模仿是学习外语主要方法之一,模仿的原则:一要大声模仿。这一点很重要,模仿时要大大方方,清清楚楚,一板一眼,口形要到位,不能扭扭捏捏,小声小气地在嗓眼里嘟嚷。刚开始模仿时,速度要慢些,以便把音发到位,侍把音发准了以后,再加快速度。直到能用正常语速把句子轻松他说出来,脱口而出。

大声模仿的目的是使口腔的肌肉充分活动起来,改变多年来形成的肌肉的习惯运动模式(汉语发音的运动模式),使嘴与大脑逐渐协调起来,建立起新的口腔肌肉的运动模式(英语发音的运动模式)。若在练习时总是小声在嗓眼里嘟嗓,一旦需要大声说话时,就可能发不准音,出现错误。

二要随时都准备纠正自己说不好的单词。短语等。有了这种意识,在模仿时就不会觉得单调。枯燥,才能主动。有意识,有目的地去模仿,这种模仿才是真正的模仿,才能达到模仿的目的,也就是要用心揣摩、体会。

三要坚持长期模仿。一般来说,纯正。优美的语音、语调不是短期模仿所能达到的,对于有英国英语基础的人学说美国英语是如此,对于习惯于说汉语的人学说英语更是如此。过度需要一段时间,时间的长短取于自学者的专心程度。练习模仿是件苦差事,常常练得口干舌燥,此时一定要坚持,喝口水继续练。练模仿和烧水是一个道理、今天烧把火,水刚热,就把火撤了,明天又是如此,水永远也烧不开。

模仿的标准:模仿要达到什么程度才算模仿好了呢?简单他说就是要“像”,如果能够达到“是”就更好了,但不一定要达到“是”。“像”是指模仿者的语音,语调等都很接近所模仿的语言,“是”就是不仅在语音。语调等方面都很接近所模仿的声音,而且非常逼真。连嗓音也基本一样,简直可以以假乱真。我们不要求也不可能达到这种程度。

复述表面看慢,实际上对英语综合能力的培养很有帮助。如果时间较充足,可以在口头复述的基础上,再用笔头复述一下,这样做可以加深掌握语言的精确程度,提高书面表达能力.

四、怎样提高英语书面表达

1.摆脱词汇表与练习题的束缚

B:A conflagration occurred but no casualties reported so far.   A:What?You mean a fire broke out but no person died?   从以上会话情境可以看出B使用“conflagration”与“casualties”虽然词义表达无误,但显然不适合日常交谈的情景语境,A对B所使用的书面语感到很拗口,所以在回答时用了“fire”,“broke out”这样的日常用语。窥木见林,在英语词汇教学要做到词汇“正确性”与“适合性”的统一。

This creates an artificial unanimity which will serve the fulfillment of public objectives, or at least keep these objectives from being destroyed. Here arguing is not permitted: one must obey. Insofar as a part of this machine considers himself at the same time a member of a universal community--a world society of citizens--(let us say that he thinks of himself as a scholar rationally addressing his public through his writings) he may indeed argue, and the affairs with which he is associated in part as a passive member will not suffer. Thus it would be very unfortunate if an officer on duty and under orders from his superiors should want to criticize the appropriateness or utility of his orders. He must obey. But as a scholar he could not rightfully be prevented from taking notice of the mistakes in the military service and from submitting his views to his public for its judgment. The citizen cannot refuse to pay the taxes levied upon him; indeed, impertinent censure of such taxes could be punished as a scandal that might cause general disobedience. Nevertheless, this man does not violate the duties of a citizen if, as a scholar, he publicly expresses his objections to the impropriety or possible injustice of such levies. A pastor, too, is bound to preach to his congregation in accord with the doctrines of the church which he serves, for he was ordained on that condition. But as a scholar he has full freedom, indeed the obligation, to communicate to his public all his carefully examined and constructive thoughts concerning errors in that doctrine and his proposals concerning improvement of religious dogma and church institutions. This is nothing that could burden his conscience. For what he teaches in pursuance of his office as representative of the church, he represents as something which he is not free to teach as he sees it. He speaks as one who is employed to speak in the name and under the orders of another. He will say: "Our church teaches this or that; these are the proofs which it employs." Thus he will benefit his congregation as much as possible by presenting doctrines to which he may not subscribe with full conviction. He can commit himself to teach them because it is not completely impossible that they may contain hidden truth. In any event, he has found nothing in the doctrines that contradicts the heart of religion. For if he believed that such contradictions existed he would not be able to administer his office with a clear conscience. He would have to resign it. Therefore the use which a scholar makes of his reason before the congregation that employs him is only a private use, for no matter how sizable, this is only a domestic audience. In view of this he, as preacher, is not free and ought not to be free, since he is carrying out the orders of others. On the other hand, as the scholar who speaks to his own public (the world) through his writings, the minister in the public use of his reason enjoys unlimited freedom to use his own reason and to speak for himself. LUN在阵列上进行设置,然后你必须在主机层对其进行处理。随着存储规模的不断扩大,系统管理员对存储的可用性与可靠性上的要求也越来越高。过去,把10个20GB的LUN分配给10个不同的分区还可以接受,现在200GB已经不能算做很大的容量了。首先,在了解文件系统之前,我们有必要了解一些必要步骤。在创建一个文件系统之前,必须完成以下步骤:按照之前文章中所述方法配置阵列,将LUN分配给主机。连接光纤,每个卡一个,连接到两个fabric上的两台交换机上。对两个交换器进行分区,分区要恰当,以确保initiator与目标之间彼此可见。确保可以看到所有的LUN。配置多路径:路径故障排除。最后一步比较困难,这取决于你所使用的操作系统与磁盘阵列。这一点,很快便会在下文中谈及。到这个时候,你就应该可以在服务器上“看到”新的LUN了。在Windows操作系统下,打开磁盘管理器(Disk Manager)应当能够让新卷开始工作(有些要求必须重启)。在Linux操作系统,起码是最近的Linux版本,应该可以立刻发现新的LUN。在Solaris操作系统下,你需要运行“cfgadm”或者也有可能需要用到“devfsadm”命令才能够看到新的LUN。如果只有一条路径通向存储,那么你就应该创建文件系统了。然而,绝大部分带有SAN的主机都有两条通向LUN的路径,所以主机会看到同一个LUN两次,每个目标一次。因为存储阵列有两个接口,因此,确实会有两个目标。这时,需要主机能够识别这两个目标均其实是同一个卷。多重路径是基于主机的驱动,并且需要与阵列支持相结合,它可以为你的存储阵列提供冗余的连接。如果你希望在所有看到的LUN上创建文件系统,并决定让每一个LUN彼此独立的话,磁盘阵列将会不堪重负。阵列上有一个概念叫“主控制器”,如果某一initiator试图访问非主目标上的LUN,而不先使用首选的路径的话,阵列就会自我保护。这是一种简单而且不错的方法,可以帮助你了解它。如果你象我们上次推荐的那样,为每个控制器分配了一个LUN,你的主机将能够成功地使用一半的LUN。它可以创建文件系统,并且成功地使用每个LUN,但是只能通过它的首选控制器。如果控制器或者交换机出现了故障,唯一可能出现的情况就是一半的卷不见了。使用多重路径设备节点意味着底层“真正”的设备可能会偶然消失,可是当磁盘和存储阵列配合良好了之后,操作系统不会看到已经安装好的磁盘设备消失掉。真正配置多重路径的工作决不烦琐。如果你想让生活更简单些,可以使用Veritas Volume Manager来设置DMP(Dynamic MultiPathing)。它可以工作在所有的操作系统上,在每个操作系统上的工作情况也完全一样。你还可以顺带着得到一个额外的好处——与操作系统无关的文件系统,如果需要在平台见迁移卷的话,这就会非常方便。如果不能使用DMP,你有两种方法来处理这种情况。首先,你可以尝试从存储制造厂商那里获取驱动。如果你购买的阵列支持你的操作系统,很可能只需要安装厂商的驱动就可以解决问题。如果问题没有得到解决的话,你可以尝试用操作系统自带的本地多重路径驱动来解决问题。例如Solaris操作系统就可以很好地支持多重路径。它可以和Sun推崇的存储良好配合,但是也许完全不能和一些存储配合。这是一件有风险的事,因此,在购买该阵列之前,请确保已经对其有充分了解。配置好了多重路径之后,你就有了一套设备,你可以自由地使用它们。真实的设备现在并不显示出来,所以你希望确保你在使用的是多重路径设备节点,而不是物理路径。接下来的就到了很有趣的一个部分。你要开始计划并搭建文件系统了。在这里要特别小心,因为即使是有Veritas 或者ZFS这样灵活的卷管理器,可是如果做出了错误的决定,你仍然会把自己逼进了死胡同。这些决定都是关于使用细节的,所以在这里我能给出的最好建议就是仔细考虑。绝大部分人都喜欢把一定数量的LUN结合在一起,形成一个更大一些的文件系统,但是注意不要把文件系统弄得太大了,以免无法在一个合理的时间范围内完成对它的备份。太大的文件系统还意味着故障修复工作会变得极其痛苦。当然,不要忘记在安全的地方保存交换机和阵列的设置,并把你的多路径和文件系统决策用文件的方式记录下来。多路径最大的优点体现在测试阶段。现在向前冲吧,可以考试拷贝大文件,充分利用光纤啦!
