组合特征及时代小凹组中所发现的大多数植物化石是漂浮的木化石，其中尤以小的浮木化石最为常见。所发现沿黑色泥岩层面保存的最长的浮木化石达3.3m，但大多数浮木化石多多少少沿侧面被压缩和碳化，或者被硅化（煤玉化），并且显示多角形的钙化裂纹。一般来讲，是不可能将这些炭化的浮木归于任何类群的泥炭植物，但在其中一个灰岩结核中发现的呈三面立体保存的标本上，仍可见其细胞结构和完好保存的年轮。在此标本上还可见小的树皮和所附着的一簇创孔海百合（Traumatocrinus）的根，此根充满钙化裂纹的空间，并深入到根的内部。该浮木肯定属于裸子植物类（gymnosperm），详细分类还有待更详细的研究。除上述来自裸子植物（Gymnospemous）的浮木化石外，在小凹组下段上部还发现少许植物化石的叶片，一种是蕨类植物（pteridophyte）中的沙兰蓖羽羊齿（Ctenozamites sarrani Zeiller）（图版18）；另一种是楔叶类植物（horsetail）中的砂地似木贼［Equisetitesarenaceus(Jaeger)Bronn］（图版19～21） （孟繁松等，2003）。在似木贼（Equisetites）化石上，还可见个体很小的双壳类通过结壳作用（incrustation）而附着其上（图版20，图1），这种保存情况与壳灰岩（muschelkalk）中的双壳类‘拟窗壳属"（“Placunopsis”）相似，说明它们曾经在海中漂浮了一段时间。可能由于这些木贼还没有被木质化，因此尚未发现已结壳的海百合。孙革等（1995）将我国南方型晚三叠世植物群分为早期（卡尼期）Abropteris-Pteriphyllum longifolium组合带，中期（诺利期）Dictyophyllum-Drepanozamites组合带和晚期（瑞替期）Ptilozamites-Anthrophyopsis组合带（表7-3）。早期组合带的主要分子有Equisetites arenaceus(Jaeg.）,Abropteris yongrenensis Li et Tsao,Yungjenophyllum grandifoliun Hsu et Chen,Asterotheca cottonii Zeill.,Mixopteris intercalaria Hsu et Chu,Pterophyllum longifolium Brongn.,P .jaegeri Brongn.,Angiopteris antiqua Hsu et Chen,Sagenopteris glossopteroides Hsu et Duan,Danaeopsis marantacea(Presl) Heer,Ctenozamites sarrani Zeiller,Stenopteris bifurcata(Hsu et Chen)Hsu et Duan等。小凹组的植物化石属种不多，其自然面貌尚不甚清楚，但该组所含的植物E.arenaceus和C.sarrani都是晚三叠世早期Abropteris-Pteriphyllum longifolium组合带的重要分子，故小凹组的植物大体也可归入这个组合带范畴。就此两种植物化石所指示的地层时代而言，沙兰蓖羽羊齿（Gtenozamites sarrani Zeiller）自从在越南发现以来（Zeiller,1903），在我国广东晚三叠世含煤地层中广泛发现，如云南太平场一平浪组、广东小坪组、湖北远安九里岗组、福建漳平文宾山组、陕西宜君延长组、山西洪洞延长组、北京西山杏石口组、内蒙古准格尔旗延长组等均有记载，类似的类型在湖南蓝山早侏罗世高家田组和湖北秭归下侏罗统香溪组上部也有发现（李旭兵等，2002；孟繁松等，2003），但至今未在中三叠世地层中有过报道。共生的砂地似木贼（Equisetites arenaceus）乃是我国西南晚三叠世（卡尼期—诺利期） （徐仁等，1979；吴向午，1982）和南欧（德国，法国和瑞士）考依波（Keuper）阶中部常见的化石，在亚洲帕米尔和哈萨克斯坦晚三叠世地层中也曾报道（孟繁松等，2003），但也见于我国湖南西部中三叠世巴东组和法国壳灰岩（Upper Muschelkalk）中（孟繁松等，2000）。值得一提的是，所发现的砂地似木贼具有节间短而肋宽的特点，与广泛分布于欧、亚晚三叠世中、晚期似木贼属的各个种明显不同，似为该属中较古老的类型，从而也反映该种可能在地层中出现较早。此外，前述的Gtenozamites sarrani虽然是晚三叠世的常见化石，但也曾出现于内蒙古准格尔旗、陕西韩城延长组下部（黄枝高等，1980）和湖北东巩一带九里岗组的下部（张振来等，1987）。这些地方的植物层位也都相当于海相卡尼阶。表7-3 植物化石分布层位从上述两类植物化石目前已知的时空分布中不难看出，Equisetites arenaceus的时代为中三叠世拉丁期—晚三叠世诺利期早期。至诺利期晚期，该种已不复存在。Ctenozamites sarrani从晚三叠世早期出现后，一直可延续到早侏罗世晚期，但迄今为止从未在中三叠世地层发现。由此看来，上述植物化石所指示的时代可以从晚三叠世卡尼期—诺利期早期，与共生的海生爬行动物、海百合和其他无脊椎动物所指示的关岭生物群时代为卡尼期早—中期并无矛盾。植物化石的生态环境分析植物埋藏状况是恢复古植物生活环境的重要步骤之一。关岭生物群中的植物化石为陆生植物是肯定的，它们出现在小凹组海相沉积之中，显然是由异地搬运而来，无疑属异地埋藏。值得注意的是，除裸子植物茎干化石外，小凹组的植物化石通常保存较好，如E.arenaceus茎干完整，节、肋与沟明显可见，茎上叶鞘几乎都没有脱落，其化石保存状况远优于国内外同类标本；C.sarrani的四块标本均为末次羽片，裂片都未脱落，叶表皮角质层清晰可见，有的标本还保留羽轴之柄。由此推测它们虽经过搬运，但搬运的距离可能不会很远。至于大量裸子植物茎干化石碎片，则明显由较远的异地搬运而来。估计它们之中也只有部分被带入这个相对较深且很安静的局限盆地环境，并沉入海底，因为只有在这种海水较深，海底温度低的局限盆地环境之中，由于海底严重缺氧，这些被搬运而来并沉入海底的植物体才不容易腐烂和氧化，且能够完好地保存下来；另一方面，根据上述几类植物具有喜湿和低地湿生—半湿生的生活习性，以及所发现的植物树干上有时还可见清楚的年轮（图版18，图4），推测关岭地区当时的气候温暖而潮湿，存在季节性变化，可能还受季风的影响。植物化石描述篦羽羊齿属 Ctenozamites Nathorst,1886沙兰篦羽羊齿 Ctenozamites sarrani Zeiller（图版18，图1～3；图版19，图2)1903 Ctenopteris sarrani,Zeiller,p.53,Pls.6～7;p L 8,figs.1～2。1963 Ctenozamites sarrani，斯行健等，198页，图版58，图1；图版59，图2～3。1977 Ctenozamites guangdongensis，冯少南，225页，图版91，图2。1977 Ctenozamites sarrani，冯少南，225页，图版91，图1。1980 Ctenozamites sarrani黄枝高等，96页，图版4，图6；图版39，图2。2002 Ctenozamites sarrani李旭兵等，37页，图版1，图2～3。描述 归于本种的标本均为末次羽片。羽叶大。末级羽轴粗，基部宽6～7mm，由此向顶端逐渐变细，顶端宽约2mm，其上具很多纵纹。末次羽片伸长披针形，长约18cm，宽可达5cm，最宽处在其中部偏下。小羽片斜伸，以45°～700角自末级羽轴伸出，彼此靠拢或边缘微叠覆，对生至亚对生，舌状，长1.8cm，宽0.8～1.2cm，基部下边下延，相邻小羽片基部相连，边缘全缘，顶端钝圆。具顶端小羽片，菱形，基部楔形，顶端尖。叶脉自羽轴伸出，粗，近平行，小羽片两则边的叶脉微向外弯，略呈放射状散开，不分叉或分叉一次。比较与讨论 Ctenozamites的另一通用属名为Ctenopteris，但后一属名早已用于现代真蕨类植物，显然不宜再用于古植物。Ctenozamites的分类位置迄今仍有不同的意见：有的学者将其归为种子蕨类植物（徐仁等，1979）；有的则认为属苏铁类植物（斯行健等，1963）。笔者考虑到这个属叶的形态和内部结构与Ptilozamites相似，加之叶2～3次羽状，与通常一次羽状的苏铁植物明显不同，故认为本属属于种子蕨类植物的可能性较大。本种以羽轴粗，叶膜厚，小羽片张开而直，斜伸，基部下延，顶端钝圆，叶脉较粗，至小羽片前端放射状散发为主要特征。这些特征与越南的模式标本几乎一致，相信它们属于同一个种，所不同的是越南的标本小羽片较宽而短。发现于广东惠阳上三叠统被鉴定为C.guangdongensis Feng的标本（冯少南等，1977），其小羽片的形态和脉序与当前的标本基本一致，应为同一个种。产地和层位 关岭县新铺乡毛洼、沙星；上三叠统小凹组下段。似木贼属 Equisetites Sternberg,1833砂地似木贼 Equisetitesarenaceus(Jaeger)Bronn.（图版19，图1；图版20)1828 Calamitesarenaceus(Jaeger)Bronn.,p.138,pl.25,fig.1;pl.26,figs.3～5。1869 Equisetium arenaceum(Jaeger),Schimper,p.270,Pl.9,figs.2～4;pl.10 ,fig.3。1910 Equisetitum arenaceum(Jaeger),Zeiller,p.123～126。1952 Equisetites arenaceus(Jaeger)Schenk，БриK,p.32～34,pl.10 ,figs.1～7;pl.11,figs.1～7。1979 Equisetitesarenaceus(Jaeger），徐仁等，13页，图版2，图3。2000 Equisetitesarenaceus(Jaeger），孟繁松等，50页，图版14，图12～13。描述 标本为茎干外模的中段，茎干粗大，保存长度约30cm，宽约18cm。节间短，长2.5～3.8cm。节部膨大，相邻节间的脊和沟通过节时通常错开，仅极少数直通过去。叶鞘约由58枚叶片组成，与节间等高或稍超过节部，近基部平滑，中、上部缝合沟显著，缝合沟高2.2～2.5cm。叶宽约0.3cm，顶端分离成齿状，齿尖不甚明显。比较 当前的标本茎干粗大，节间短，节部膨大，叶鞘由许多叶片连接而成等特征，无一不与川西宝鼎晚三叠世的E.arenaceus(Jaeger）相一致（徐仁等，1979），仅本种叶齿顶端针状不明。产于云南剑川石钟山晚三叠世被鉴定为E.longidens Li的标本（李佩娟等，1976），其节间短，叶鞘由70～80枚叶片组成，下部平滑，中、上部缝合沟明显，顶端齿状等，与当前的种没有明显的区别，似可归入本种之中。产地和层位 关岭县新铺乡小凹；上三叠统小凹组下段。
