第一题选择A，第二题是选C（第二题的答案D是错的）。先说第一题，than用于比较结构时有个用法：主句＋than＋从句（从句由sb＋动词＋状语构成，sb一般省略）。在这个结构中，sb可以省略,所应该采用的动词时态单复数根据省略的主语来判断，在这道题目中than后面的从句的主语和主句的主语是一致的，都是 proposals ，所以动词的时态单复数应该根据proposals选择exist。再举个例子:You should drink liquor less than is harmful.从句的主语是liquor，所以动词是is。第二题中的the quantity of books 主语是quantity，quantity一词本身是单数，of books介词结构后置作定语，所以应该选择C。如果是a （large） quantity of books,则选择D。因为主语是books，是复数形式
