　　1.R&B(Rhythm and Blues)　　起源于20世纪，B.P.M约在80至100拍，中文翻译成：“节奏布鲁斯或节奏蓝调”。它原是一种在黑人生活圈中流行的音乐。最早R&B是Bl-ues和Jazz的混合体，是从较慢的舞蹈转向节奏舞蹈的雏形音乐。R&B重点体现了显著的节奏或节拍，另外它的旋律也交代的很清晰，往往听罢给人留下深刻印象。由于人们优越的物质生活条件以及复古风潮的影响；目前R&B已成为流行乐坛的宠儿，当然现代的R&B又混入了其他音乐的一些元素　　2.Neo-flok新民谣　　顾名思义，新民谣当然就是将原本的民谣，加上新的唱腔及新的构成方式，这种风格因TheCranberries(小红莓)的出现而大肆走红。　　3.Soul灵魂乐　　和节奏蓝调类似的一种风格，主要特色为常使用大量的转音，声音高亢而旋绕，或再加以多部和声，造成一张温暖且浪漫的音网，柔畅谐调交迭盘旋的声音，使得乐器似乎是多馀的。代表团体为All 4 One、BoysⅡMan。但K-Ci&jojo有崛起之势。　　4.Rap绕舌乐　　基本上有押韵有节奏用念就念完的「歌」，我们通称Rap(我是不这麽认为啦！)，台湾在L.A.BOYZ引进后也大大风行过，因Rap的类型之多，不及备载，只简单说明之，最近在排行榜上大多为Gangsta rap(黑帮绕舌)，内容大多和毒品及青少年帮派有关，歌词的脏话也不胜枚举，因此，通常Rap的专辑都会贴上一张由〈美国净化摇滚歌词委员会〉所颁发的黑白贴纸，上面写著「PARENTAL ADVISORY EXPLICIT LYRICS」—父母的忠告歌词明确。目前最有名的就是Puff Daddy。　　4.Hip Hop　　极炫的街头装。 十几岁的少年，像风一样擦身而过，超炫的身影在钢铁的车流中显得格外轻盈，他们就是滑板车一族。随着滑板车的风靡，这些街头运动除了给我们的身体以轻盈的借口、飞的感觉外，也使新人类的着装时尚开始与风行20年不衰的国际街头文化接轨了，这就是“HIP-POP”。黑人青少年所发展出来的一种音乐型态，它在美国将近有20年的历史了，这种音乐通常含念带唱另外附送可以跳霹雳舞的旋律，界於绕舌及街舞之间，其节拍有切割，重叠性，通常会用Scratching(刮唱片)来衬底。Hip Hop文化有四种表现形式∶1.音乐2.舞步3.服装4.涂鸦(用喷漆在墙壁上画出图案及文字)。　　5.Funk放克　　这是广泛节奏蓝调的一种，最早是源自於黑人音乐，因为这种音乐最好、最普遍的形容是「街头感」，节奏极自由而狂放，非常具有力度，后来被广泛的白人普遍接受，近几年又在欧美流行乐坛再度风行。　　6.Raggae雷鬼乐　　据说这种音乐的出生地是牙买加，有人说Raggae是Soul的牙买加版本。在那地方出生的人们生性懒散和平，因此，雷鬼乐在节奏上就充满这种慵懒舒服的律动。最容易的辨别方法为其维持一定速率(4/4)电子琴声音。　　7.House浩室舞曲　　在80年代中期发展的House，是由美国纽约的几个D.J.(据说是个黑人和同性恋)玩出来的，是一种可以融合多元化音乐类型的舞曲，真正为舞厅设计的室内跳舞用音乐，所以称为House。 至今House仍是最广为人知的一种舞曲形式，延伸出的支脉不下一打，包括New York Dub, New Jersey, Miami, Tarage, tribal Acid...........。　　事实上，几乎所有的舞曲类别多少都和House有关联，因为House的注册商标—持续的4/4节奏已为舞曲共通语言。　　它经常有著高亢、甜美、灵魂式的女声，节奏大都介於116~126BPM(Beats Per minute一分钟内的节拍数)，约人类心跳的两倍，据研究是人类跳舞最适合的速度，而这种美国人发明的音乐，却被欧洲人如获至宝般的加以发扬光大。代表艺人有∶Inner City, MK, Dee Lite..........等。　　8.Techno/Techno House高科技电子舞曲　　源於80年代中期的底特律和芝加哥，Techno在1984~1989年间仅能算是地下的小众音乐，因为纯正的Techno本身并没有什麽歌词，最多间断性的喊个几句， 但到了1989~1992却成为美国rave风潮主宰者，是90年代全球音乐革命的主力战将，充满超时空的想像力，融合了最原始音节与最科技的律动，是年轻人对2000年后世界一种奇妙的心灵冥想舞曲， 其特色为∶电子合成键盘的强烈电子声(midi啦！)，比利时风格的贝斯击乐声。Techno House时常结合男性绕舌和女性唱腔的特色，紧凑、狂乱至极的能量输出及动感。通常节奏维持在130~150BPM间。Techno在开启商业化卖点后，就渐渐淡出地下音乐的范畴了(大家都一窝蜂的做Techno)，而被Trance, Progressive House较有名的团体为2Unlimited，及为明日帝国做主题曲的Moby。　　9.Progressive House　　顾名思义这是House的支派之一，简言之Progressive House就是「听起来比较接近Trance的House」，定义上较模糊，不似Deep House、Hard House、Garage般明确。Perfecto这厂牌底下有不少Progressive House的作品　　10.Trance魅力舞曲　　Trance源於德国的Techno，利用Techno音乐风格的隆隆贝斯声、嘶嘶作响的键盘声制造 催眠”的效果，而又保留了Techno的律动和能量。大量的采用电子合成乐器和取样技巧，相当重的贝斯分量，合成的机械键盘声和维持在128~150BPM的节奏。反正纯的Trance听起来就很迷幻 , 应该像磕药的感觉吧！　　11.Ambient环境音效音乐　　它也许听得出or听不出节奏，它的存在展现了电子合成乐器梦幻的一面。Ambient结合了自然和日常生活中俯拾皆是的声音，透过电子合成乐器的处理，蜕变成具有原创性的音符。其特色为∶极为电子化，弥漫著太空感，充满长时间的音效，序曲和停顿，有时更会出现长达20分钟以上的混音，节奏介於0至140BPM。　　12.Break Beat　　源於80年代末期的Rave(通常指在户外彻夜Non-Stop的大型舞会，通常有一大票的DJ轮番上阵，凡是在Rave的DJ放的音乐，皆可称为Rave，包括了Trance、Techno、Hardcore Techno、Jungle、Trance Ambient等。)，结合了Hip Hop的节奏，混音技巧，Techno Rave的键盘风格和取样技巧 Break Beat的特色是∶Funky的节奏，大量的取样，此起彼落的混音，一环一环加了速的花栗鼠式唱腔，疯癫几近爆炸的活力，和介於135~170BPM的节奏。代表团体为Prodigy、　　ChemicalBrothers............　　13.Jungle丛林舞曲　　事实上在进入90年代以来，就已潜伏在Underground Hardcore Rave Scene中，同样以Breakbeats为主干，不过速度通常是一般Hip Hop的两倍，约150~170BPM之间，早期盛行Raggafied Jungle，到94年Goldie以 Inner City Life”将Jungle推上主流舞台后，也更多元化了，包括Jazz Jungle、Artcore、Ambient Jungle、 Darkcore、Techstep...........等。听起来有丛林味道就是了.......还有鼓点　　Tribal 有一点像Jungle，但听起来有 部落”感，反正就像 土著的电子舞曲”Drum＆Bass鼓打贝斯Jungle的转型，承袭了Jungle的特色，加重音乐鼓及贝斯的元素，目前也相当受到欢迎，音乐里面有著一大摊的小鼓点。　　14.Trip Hop幻舞　　可以简单地视为「慵懒迷幻的Hip Hop」，大约在80~95BPM间，是Bristol一地的音乐潮流，94年全盛时期有所谓的「Trip Hop铁三角」—Portishead、Tricky 和Massive Attack。玛丹娜Frozen就有Trip Hop的味道。　　15.Brit Hop(Armyl House)　　Brit Hop和Big Beat是这一年来最受瞩目的Break Beat势力，通常在110~130BPM间(偶而有130~140BPM的作品)，结合了Funk Breakbeats、TB-303的Acid声效以及独立吉他声响，被视为是今日打通摇滚乐与电子舞曲间血脉最具代表性的一股势力，代表艺人有Chemical Brothers、Prodigy、Death In Vegas............等。　　16.Goa Trance　　最早是指在印度Goa小岛上经常播放的一种Trance，速度大约在135~150BPM，特色是运用了相当厚重及旋律性极强的合成器音色，有些听起来还有浓浓的印度味，若再结合大量的TB-303(一种可创造出高尖声响的合成器名称)的Acid声效，就是所谓的「Psychedelic Trance」。　　17.Disco.　　Disco的风潮应归功于电影的杰作：70年代的美国电影中大量使用了Disco舞曲，由于Disco舞曲本身节奏简单（4/4拍），旋律积极向上易被人接受，再加上崇拜明星的作为，从而在全美国乃至全世界掀起一股Disco的风潮。Disco不仅仅只是一种舞曲风格，它是当今崇尚服饰`时尚`潮流的原起点。当时没有Disco的话可能现在我们的生活还是黑白的。　　18.Pop.　　“流行舞”。其实当前一些有别于经典曲风的舞曲,以及较难区分的舞曲多可列入POP舞曲的范畴中来:-) POP舞曲所指的是和流行音乐和舞曲节奏相融合的一种舞曲形式。在当时DISCO盛行（80年代）的情况下，一些和当时乐坛流行的曲风结合的舞曲开始受到青年人的欢迎，再加上MTV这种新的音乐包装形式的出现，这类舞曲即通过由当时当红的明星借助电影、电视和新兴的MTV传播开来，形成了所谓的POP舞曲。　　19. D U B.　　彷佛。Dub Version是许多混音版的中，比较特别的版本。其特色在於整个歌曲编排的改变，偏向低调、Cool的境界，歌词也只剩下一二句副歌或完全没有歌声，不停的重覆或偶尔出现在很冷静的节奏中。
