三个“第一”　　相关专家认为，《黄帝内经》可以用三个“第一”给它作一概括。 　　1．《黄帝内经》是第一部中医理论经典。 　　人类出现以后，就有疾病，有了疾病必然就要寻求各种医治的方法，所以医疗技术的形成的确远远早于《黄帝内经》。但中医学作为一个学术体系的形成，却是从《黄帝内经》开始的，所以《黄帝内经》被公认为中医学的奠基之作。这部著作第一次系统讲述了人的生理、病理、疾病、治疗的原则和方法，为人类健康做出了巨大的贡献。中医学形成以后，就庇佑着我们中华民族，使我们中华民族生生不息，使我们中华儿女能够战胜疾患、灾难，绵延至今。没有中医、没有《黄帝内经》的中华民族，是难以想象的。 　　2．《黄帝内经》是第一部养生宝典。 　　《黄帝内经》中讲到了怎样治病，但更重要的讲的是怎样不得病，怎样使我们在不吃药的情况下就能够健康、能够长寿、能够活到一百岁。 　　《黄帝内经》有一个非常重要的思想：“治未病”。《黄帝内经》中说：“不治已病治未病，不治已乱治未乱。” 　　“不治已病治未病”的意思是说，假如一个人的肝脏出了问题，不要指盲目的治疗肝脏，还要从其他未生病的脏器着手。肝属木，肾属水，水生木，心属火，木生火。所以也要从肾脏和心脏上着手治疗。 　　而“不治已乱治未乱”的意思是说，假设一个公司的管理模式上出了问题，造成了混乱。不要指盲目的解决当前的混乱，而要从造成混乱的原因，和混乱将会导致的后果着手。简单的说，就是把前头和后面两端解决，中间的那段麻烦也就不存在了。 　　3．《黄帝内经》是第一部关于生命的百科全书。 　　《黄帝内经》以生命为中心，里面讲了医学、天文学、地理学、心理学、社会学，还有哲学、历史等，是一部围绕生命问题而展开的百科全书。我们国学的核心实际上就是生命哲学，《黄帝内经》就是以黄帝的名字命名的、影响最大的国学经典。中国古代有三大以“经”命名的奇书，第一部是《易经》，第二部是《道德经》，第三部就是《黄帝内经》。现在，这三部奇书不仅引起中华儿女，炎黄子孙的关注，而且引起世界各国人民的极大关注，因为它的价值在当今社会已经越来越凸显出来。价值贡献　　《黄帝内经》内容十分丰富，《素问》偏重人体生理、病理、疾病治疗原则原理，以及人与自然等等基本理论；《灵枢》则偏重于人体解剖、脏腑经络、腧穴针灸等等。二者之共同点均系有关问题的理论论述，并不涉及或基本上不涉及疾病治疗的具体方药与技术。因此，它成为中国医学发展的理论源薮，是历代医学家论述疾病与健康的理论依据，尽管医学家学说各异而有争论但鲜有背离之者，几乎无不求之于《内经》而为立论之准绳。这就是现代人学习研究中医，也必须首先攻读《内经》的原故。因为，若不基本掌握《内经》之要旨，将对中医学之各个临床科疾病之认识、诊断、治疗原则、选药处方等等，无从理解和实施。 　　《黄帝内经》作为祖国传统医学的理论思想基础及精髓，在中华民族近二千年繁衍生息的漫漫历史长河中，它的医学主导作用及贡献功不可没。试想，大略700年前，欧洲鼠疫暴发， 有四分之一的欧洲人失去了宝贵的生命，而中国近两千年的历史中虽也有瘟疫流行， 但从未有过象欧洲一样惨痛的记录，中医药及《内经》的作用由此可以充分展示。 　　《黄帝内经》的著成，标志着中国医学由经验医学上升为理论医学的新阶段。《黄帝内经》总结了战国以前的医学成就，并为战国以后的中国医学发展提供了理论指导。在整体观、矛盾观、经络学、脏象学、病因病机学、养生和预防医学以及诊断治疗原则等各方面，都为中医学奠定了理论基础，具有深远影响。历代著名医家在理论和实践方面的创新和建树，大多与《黄帝内经》有着密切的渊源关系。 　　《黄帝内经》全面总结了秦汉以前的医学成就，标志着中国医学发展到理论总结阶段。该书在中国医学有很高地位，后世历代有所成就医家，无不重视此书。部分内容曾被译成日、英、德、法等文字，对世界医学的发展亦产生了不可忽视的影响。相关传说　　十八卷的《黄帝内经》，从远古时代一直到今，而三十七卷的《黄帝外经》，则可能永远失传了。但是，关于它的民间传说，还是相当丰富和十分有趣的了。 　　相传黄帝时期出现了三位名医，除了雷公和岐伯两人外，名气最大的是俞跗（fù）。他的医道非常高明。特别是在外科手术方面很有经验。据说，他治病一般不用汤药、石针和按摩。而是诊断清楚病因后，除非要做手术时就用刀子划开皮肤，解剖肌肉，结扎。传说有一次，俞跗在过河时，发现一个掉河里淹死了的女人被几个人打捞出来准备埋葬，俞跗挡住他们询问死者掉进水里多长时间。抬尸体的人说，刚掉进水里，捞上来就断气了。俞跗让他们把尸体放在地上，先是摸了摸死者的脉搏，又看了看死者的眼睛，然后又让人找来一条草绳，把死者双脚捆绑好，倒吊在树上。开始大家都不理解俞跗为什么要这样做。死者刚一吊起，就大口大口地往外吐水，直到不吐时，俞跗才叫人慢慢将死者解下来，仰面朝天放在地上，双手在死者的胸脯上一压一放。最后他拔掉自己的几根头发，放在死者鼻孔上观察了一阵，发现发丝缓缓地动了动，才放心地对死者家里人说：“她活过来了，抬回家好好调养吧！”，《汉书·艺文志》记载医家经典十一家今仅存《黄帝内经》一家，原因待考。其中失传的包括黄帝外经。从《汉书·艺文志》记载的“七经”来看，当时与《黄帝内经》并存的，还有《黄帝外经》、《扁鹊内经》、《扁鹊外经》、《白氏内经》、《白氏外经》和《旁篇》。
