There is no such expression in English. I suspect that the details of presidency order are not so significant in the cultures of English-speaking countries.

You may ask something like this:

You:"How many people had been presidents of the USA before Kennedy"s presidency?"

Your friend:"34"

Then the answer would be obviouse.

President"s Award for Educational Excellence (金奖)2。 President"s Award for Educational Achievement(银奖)金奖学生的成绩必须是全A。

George Washington (February 22, 1732 [O.S. February 11, 1731][1][2][3]– December 14, 1799) was the commander of the Continental Army in the American Revolutionary War (1775–1783) and served as the first President of the United States of America (1789–1797).[4] For his central role in the formation of the United States, he is often referred to as the father of his country.[5][6]The Continental Congress appointed Washington commander-in-chief of the American revolutionary forces in 1775. The following year, he forced the British out of Boston, lost New York City, and crossed the Delaware River in New Jersey, defeating the surprised enemy units later that year. As a result of his strategy, Revolutionary forces captured the two main British combat armies at Saratoga and Yorktown. Negotiating with Congress, the colonial states, and French allies, he held together a tenuous army and a fragile nation amid the threats of disintegration and failure. Following the end of the war in 1783, King George III asked what Washington would do next and was told of rumors that he"d return to his farm; this prompted the king to state, "If he does that, he will be the greatest man in the world." Washington did return to private life and retired to his plantation at Mount Vernon.[7]He presided over the Philadelphia Convention that drafted the United States Constitution in 1787 because of general dissatisfaction with the Articles of Confederation. Washington became President of the United States in 1789 and established many of the customs and usages of the new government"s executive department. He sought to create a nation capable of surviving in a world torn asunder by war between Britain and France. His unilateral Proclamation of Neutrality of 1793 provided a basis for avoiding any involvement in foreign conflicts. He supported plans to build a strong central government by funding the national debt, implementing an effective tax system, and creating a national bank. Washington avoided the temptation of war and a decade of peace with Britain began with the Jay Treaty in 1795; he used his prestige to get it ratified over intense opposition from the Jeffersonians. Although never officially joining the Federalist Party, he supported its programs and was its inspirational leader. Washington"s farewell address was a primer on republican virtue and a stern warning against partisanship, sectionalism, and involvement in foreign wars.Washington was awarded the very first Congressional Gold Medal with the Thanks of Congress.[8]Washington died in 1799, and the funeral oration delivered by Henry Lee stated that of all Americans, he was "first in war, first in peace, and first in the hearts of his countrymen".[9] Washington has been consistently ranked by scholars as one of the greatest U.S. Presidents.

There have been many Presidents of the United States since the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776,but few people realize that the Presidential history also includes a series of Presidents who lead the Colonies long before the United States was founded as a free nation.Even though the colonies were controlled by King George III,the Congress which governed the colonies under the King was lead by a President.By the time July 2,1776 rolled around and the Declaration of Independence was signed, the colonies had already had two Presidents,Peyton Randolph and Henry Middleton.John Hancock was President during the year the United States declared our Independence from Britain.John Hancock, the First President of the United StatesJohn Hancock was,for all intents and purposes, the first President of the confederacy from 1776 through 1781.John Hancock was one of the first true patriots who led the fight for independence from the crown. It is for good reason that his signature comes first on the Declaration of Independence. He led the revolution in Boston and fought against the crown ahead of all other patriots.King George wanted John"s head from the very moment the Declaration was delivered to the King.Once the revolution was won,all members of the new congress finally signed their names to the Declaration of Independence in 1771,and all 13 states ratified the new Confederacy in 1781.George Washington,a General and a PatriotOnce Lord Cornwallis surrendered in 1781,Thomas McKean became the elected President of Congress. From 1781 through 1789,Presidents John Hanson,Elias Boudinot,Thomas Mifflin,Richard Lee,John Hancock,Nathaniel Gorham,Arthur St.Clair, and Cyrus Griffin, all served terms. Finally,George Washington was elected in 1789.By all accounts,George Washington was the certainly the first President who brought the States together as a united country.George Washington"s life leading up to his presidency was interesting. He impressed people around him,not with great speaking ability or charisma, but with his good sense and patriotic views. He started his military career as a young man on the Frontier. He fought with French soldiers at the start of the French and Indian War.After bravely leading the British to safety after a battle in Virginia,Washington was promoted to command Virginia"s military. After winning various battles and bringing peace to Ohio,at twenty-seven years old,he married Martha Dandridge Custis, and retired to a plantation on Mount Vernon. After farming for a number of years,in 1775 when he went from serving in the Continental Congress to once again commanding an army, but this time it was the Continental Army against the British in Boston. After a number of crushing defeats before Washington"s troops crossed the Delaware,Washington turned his troops around on Christmas night of 1776,in one of the greatest military operations in American history. On that night,Washington"s troops crossed back over the Delaware and overpowered the garrison at Trenton, and subsequently overtook the garrison at Princeton as well. After gaining Cornwallis" surrender in Yorktown, the Revolutionary war was won.Once again,Washington retired to his plantation on Mount Vernon. The First "United States" PresidentWashington watched public affairs with dismay,as the union was weakened with debts from the war, inability to collect revenue, and overall impotence of the Confederation Congress.Washington wrote to James Madison that Congress needed a powerful Constitution. In 1787,Washington went to Philadelphia to attend the convention set up to modify the Articles of Confederation. After the Constitution was approved, the first presidential election was held, and despite his desire to retire once again to Mount Vernon,he received a vote from every single voter.George Washington remains the only president in U.S.history who has been voted for president unanimously by the people.

American presidents by Date of Service 1.George Washington

Stephen Grover Cleveland (March 18, 1837 – June 24, 1908) was the 22nd and 24th President of the United States. Cleveland is the only president to serve two non-consecutive terms (1885–1889 and 1893–1897) and therefore is the only individual to be counted twice in the numbering of the presidents. He was the winner of the popular vote for president three times—in 1884, 1888, and 1892—and was the only Democrat elected to the presidency in the era of Republican political domination that lasted from 1860 to 1912.Cleveland was the leader of the pro-business Bourbon Democrats who opposed high tariffs, free silver, inflation, imperialism and subsidies to business, farmers or veterans. His battles for political reform and fiscal conservatism made him an icon for American conservatives. Cleveland won praise for his honesty, independence, integrity, and commitment to the principles of classical liberalism. As a reformer he worked indefatigably against political corruption, patronage, and bossism. His second term coincided with the Panic of 1893, a severe national depression that Cleveland was unable to reverse. It ruined his Democratic party, opening the way for Republican landslides in 1894 and 1896, and for the agrarian and silverite seizure of his Democratic party in 1896. The result was a political realignment that ended the Third Party System and launched the Fourth Party System and the Progressive Era.Cleveland took strong positions and in turn took heavy criticism. His intervention in the Pullman Strike of 1894 to keep the railroads moving angered labor unions nationwide and angered the party in Illinois; his support of the gold standard and opposition to free silver alienated the agrarian wing of the Democratic Party. Furthermore, critics complained that he had little imagination and seemed overwhelmed by the nation"s economic disasters—depressions and strikes—in his second term. Even so, his reputation for honesty and good character survived the troubles of his second term. Biographer Allan Nevins wrote, "in Grover Cleveland the greatness lies in typical rather than unusual qualities. He had no endowments that thousands of men do not have. He possessed honesty, courage, firmness, independence, and common sense. But he possessed them to a degree other men do not."

省略to的不定式结构做宾补make/ see/ hear/watch sb. do等变成被动语态时,需要把to还原出来,变成sb. be made/ be seen/ be heard/ be watched to do.His workers were made to work for twelve hours a day.(make sb. do在被动语态中变为sb. be made to do)语态有两种:主动语态和被动语态。 We speak Chinese in China. Chinese is spoken by us in China.

Giving and receiving are always happening at the same time - often in a very non linear way.As we give to another person (e.g.,giving them a pliment),we"re at the same time giving to self by saying we appreciate this quality in ourselves. We"re also receiving a sort of feedback loop from another person as they truly receive it - this can be in the form of gratitude,or joy,or even the other person"s transformation. This last one is an extremely powerful feedback of energy. We all can grow and invite joy helping others grow. 或者 Giving is ReceivingI"m a student from Green Middle School. My name is LI Ming.I like helping others because I think it makes me very happy.I often help my clas *** ates with their schoolwork.Sometimes I help clean up city parks.I go to the old people"s home and do some cleaning for them once a month. So I"m pretty popular there.I often visit the children"s hospital to cheer the sick kids up.I read stories and sing songs for them.I am good with children.I also give money to charities to help people in trouble.I think giving is receiving.Helping others is helping ourselves.Do you agree with me? Giving is Receiving Everybody wants to receive something from other people.A gift on birthday,a *** ile when you are nervous,or a hand when you are in trouble. These receivings make us feel warm and happy. But I think giving is also a very happy and enjoyable process.Giving is also receiving. Giving a gift to my mother,a gift,a flower,or just a sentence" mom,i love you",That will make her very happy ,and i also have same feeling. That is a munication of emotion.Giving a hand to those people who need help is also very happy thing.A direction to who is lost,or a help to an old grandpa,or just a courage to those who are upset. This is also a process of receiving. So in the process of our life,we should learn to how to give.Actually,if you are a person who like to give and help, then you will be also a person who often receive something from others. You will receive some unexpected things, such as help, prize, flowers, love and so on.In fact, those receivings is the reward of givings.,23,
