ipk的安装对于大多数用户来说都是使用preware、WebOS Quick Install、Internalz Pro来安装程序的。如果不考虑postinst脚本，那么使用这些工具安装的文件都是相对于/media/cryptofs/apps目录进行安装的。如果直接使用不带-o参数的ipkg install命令安装的话，那么安装的文件都是相对于/目录的。也就是说ipk包中实际上并不包含相对于那个路径进行安装的信息。安装到哪儿只跟安装的方式有关。

汽车IPK控制模块是油电转换控制模块。这是纯电的，北汽新能源E150。IPK是英文Instrument Pack的筒写，中文意思是组合仪表，当今的数字仪表，有音乐，地图，通话等诸多娱乐功能。仪表是Info CAN上的节点，节点名称IPK，也叫ICU。显示方式可见汽车仪表尚以机械式为主，通讯方式以线束为主这种模式最大的弊病是过于依赖线束，导致系统复杂随着汽车产业的快速发展，有极大潜力的汽车电子市场正日渐受到各大汽车生产商与电子产品供应商的关注。这其中包括尚处于开发实验阶段的清洁能源汽车、由日本占据世界市场领袖地位的车载音响设备的车载计算机信息终端设备以及形形色色的车内电控单元，如发动机电控单元、ABS、总线、新型电子仪表等对汽车仪表而言，使用电子式仪表板较之传统仪表的优势在于：硬件功能的软件化。
