Great brands drive loyalty beyond reason. when you could buy a cup of coffee in a low price in other places, it is definitely not a wise move to spend 5 U.S. dollars to buy thesame coffee . When the market has varied products similar to the mp3 which are much cheaper than an Apple ipod, it is also not a wise move to own an ipod. However, Starbucks and the ipod has been building the emotional connection between customers and creating loyalty which is beyond reason.
Now, in the market there are a lot of products which we are used to. For example, you might always buy a particular brand of toilet paper or for convenience just in the same gas station. However, you have a passion for these brands with us? Most likely not, next time when you aun out, you might choose to buy another brand products.
Brand loyalty means that you constantly aupport this kind of product. You will not consider other products or services instead. You may even not hesitate to spend more money to buy the brand"s product or service.

Now we buy some product or take some service because we are customed to them. For example, you may bug kleenex of some brand or fill your vehicle where you are located. But do you have any relation with the brand? Ususlly no yet. So you might choose other brand next time.
Brand loyalty means you will choose the brand at any cost. There are no alternatives in your mind. You don"t care about cash spent on your only choice.

For example, you may purchase a specific brand toilet paper or visit a local gas station, but do you really have affection on these brands? Probablely not. You may choose another brand next time.
Brand loyalty means that by all means, you try to buy products with the brand. You wont consider any substitutions. Evenmore, you would like to buy products or services with this brand with more expenditures.
