纽约必去的小资圣地—— the view restaurant & lounge The View Restaurant & Lounge在曼哈顿时代广场的Merriott Hotel的47楼，纽约唯一的屋顶旋转餐厅兼酒吧，平时只有晚上才开，星期天有Brunch Buffet（早餐和午餐一起的自助餐）。如果你是晚上去餐厅，推荐你直接就去酒吧，点一杯Floradora(源于在百老汇成名，来自伦敦的合唱团Flora Dora），或Jack Rose（基调是有三百年历史的Lairds Applejack)，大约12美金。不喜欢酒的话，可以要一杯由有机栽培的黑茶茶叶泡制出来的冰茶，有黑莓，芒果，桃子各种风味，一杯不过7美金，作为夜景的曼哈顿虽然没有香港，上海的绚丽，但也有他百年老城的味道。在那里看着夜景一刻刻变化，慢慢地啜着杯中的饮料，有一句没一句的闲聊，是人生一个惬意的片断。我理解的小资就是财力有限，但想尽量享受的一类人，那么星期天的Brunch Buffet就是为小资准备的。说句实话，白天的旋转餐厅的风景比晚上的更有看头，除了赫赫有名的大小建筑都能一览无遗之外，还能看到远处的哈德逊河，近处的东河，还能看到自由女神在水雾中若隐若现，更能看到滚滚车流在曼哈顿纵横井然的大道上川流不息，行人如织。一个城市的脉动，一个城市的生意盎然就这么跃入眼里，刻在心底。不过，你不用为这种忙碌繁杂的动景焦虑，因为你只是一个旁观者，在耸入云端的落地玻璃窗后，你也可以有一声类似孔夫子在两千年前的感叹：“逝者如是夫”星期天的旋转餐厅，人都不是很多，所以就算睡个懒觉，到了那里也可以坐到靠窗的位子。美景如果没有佳肴相配，那是很少兴的事，所幸Brunch的食物非常丰富，丰富到超过预期的程度。有冷盆，各种沙拉，熏三文鱼（产自大西洋），熏白鱼，各种鲜榨的果汁，切块的不切块的新鲜水果，煎蛋卷（有专人按你指定的配菜煎制），热食，各种烹饪方法的土豆（老外土豆就是主食），更不要说品种繁多的甜品了。总的印象是蔬菜多，海鲜多，肉食少，非常符合现代人的健康标准，难怪餐厅里各种年纪打扮入时的女士多过绅士了。不管你坐多久，都不会有人来赶你，或给你脸色看。美景当前，佳肴不断，慢慢地消磨时光，没人打扰，尽情享受，人生夫复何求。所以Brunch At The View Restaurant & Lounge不会比上世纪经典的Breakfast At Tiffany"s差，如果我选我肯定选前者。
