小鼠极易斯与感染，在高度洁净的SPF环境下可存活一年以上。两性均可生育，窝产仔数为3-5只。Scid小鼠是继裸鼠出现之后，人类发现的有一种十分有价值的免疫缺陷动物。在肿瘤学免疫学等研究中，Scid小鼠的使用已越来越广泛。 应用领域 在哺乳类实验动物中，由于小鼠体小，饲养管理方便，易于控制，生产繁殖快，研究最深，有明确的质量控制标准，已拥有大量的近交系、突变系和封闭群，近年来遗产工程小鼠的培育迅速增加，因此在各种实验研究中，用量最大，用途最多。 1安全性和毒性试验 常选用小鼠进行食品、化妆品、药物化工产品等的安全新实验，急性、亚急性、慢性、毒性试验，还可做致畸、致癌致突变试验，半数致死量测定等。 2 生物效应测定和药物效价比较
