我是说可可西里有两个月亮，只因了一个高尚的灵魂安放在那里，便有了美丽的传说。格尔木一个念中学的女孩写的作文题目就是这样，她写道，一个月亮挂在可可西里的夜空，另一个月亮在楚玛尔河里，那是太阳播撒的一粒种子；一位叫德吉达娃的牧民也告诉我，楚玛尔河面上确实有一个又大又圆又亮的红月亮。就在索南达杰献身的那天夜里，她在羊栏里亲眼所见。那个红月亮本来蛰伏在漩里，被藏羚羊的呼唤声拽出来，挂在了雪山顶。 人间所有的美好传说，无不寄托着民众的浓浓思念和善良祝愿。在藏地，月亮是纯洁、真爱、平安的象征。在藏地任何一个地方你都会遇到许多叫卓玛、达娃的人。藏语里卓玛就是太阳，达娃就是月亮。太阳的光芒舒暖温馨，月亮的味道至善至美。 可可西里有两个月亮的美丽传说，是人们对为了保护藏羚羊献出宝贵生命的索南达杰的真心赞美，也是大家祈祷藏羚羊平安无事的良好愿望。可可西里是野生动物的乐园，尤其是世界珍稀动物藏羚羊最后的栖息地。 可可西里一词系蒙古语“神秘的少女”或“美丽的少女”的意思。它是横跨青海、西藏、新疆三省区之间的一块高山台地，面积4.5万平方公里，平均海拔4500米以上，是藏羚羊最理想的生存地，那里的藏羚羊最多的时候达15万只。自从18世纪欧美、印度等国家把一种叫“沙图什”的披肩作为身份和财富的象征后，就给藏羚羊带来了灭顶之灾。藏羚羊的绒毛是制作“沙图什”的唯一原料。可可西里的藏羚羊一度锐减至不足5万只。一条“沙图什”披肩在英国最高价可达5万美元。据说，拿破仑就曾经将一条“沙图什”披肩送给自己的情妇约瑟芬。约瑟芬爱之深切，一下就定购了许多条。国际市场上“沙图什”价格的不断攀升与青藏高原藏羚羊的减少形成必然的因果关系。 1994年，在可可西里的藏羚羊被盗猎分子疯狂猎杀的时候，索南达杰以自己的生命阻挡了这场噩梦的延续。正是因为他这个响亮的名字，遥远、寂寞的可可西里才从此名震天下。索南达杰是青海省治多县委副书记，兼任可可西里经济开发公司总经理。他带领巡山队5个藏族队员长年在可可西里巡查，保护藏羚羊。他们遭受过寒冷、饥饿、误解、恫吓、打击报复，但从来没有退缩过。1994年1月18日，那是可可西里历史上一个黑色的日子。索南达杰和两名巡山队员押送着扣押的近2000张藏羚羊皮张的汽车，还有18个犯罪嫌疑人，前往格尔木。傍晚，人车在月亮湖边小憩，犯罪分子出其不意地突然反抗，他们威逼索南达杰缴械。索南达杰奋起与犯罪分子拼搏，寡不敌众，他腹部中弹后仍然是一副举枪瞄准犯罪分子的半跪姿势。 索南达杰倒在月亮湖畔的那一刻，藏羚羊像失掉主心骨似地惊慌失措，四处逃窜。英雄的血不会白流，索南达杰生命最后时刻那跪卧瞄准的不朽姿势，唤醒了多少有良知的沉睡的人。他的妹夫扎巴多杰不顾所有亲人和好友的反对，毅然辞去玉树藏族自治州人大法制工作委员会副主任的职务，奔赴可可西里继承哥哥未竟的事业，成立了一支武装反偷猎队伍。不久，可可西里索南达杰自然保护站挂牌成立。接着，在昆仑山口耸立起高20米的索南达杰纪念碑，花岗石碑上书写着“功盖昆仑，音容长在”。人们把对这位英雄的崇敬和热爱，完全融入了保护藏羚羊的行动中。从上个世纪最后一个夏天开始，志愿者从全国各地跋涉来到可可西里为藏羚羊站岗放哨，志愿者分期分批上山，每批10人，一期一个月。志愿者们用一腔忠诚和勇敢谱写出了保护藏羚羊的故事。 离索南达杰自然保护站不远处有一座高高的瞭望塔，塔下是一片天然的石头滩，大小不一、形状各异的石头足有上百块，大的能卧牛，小的可坐人。这些原本平平常常的石头因了志愿者的光临，陡然间闪烁起了光彩。他们刚来可可西里时在石头上写下誓词，离开时又在石头上刻下留言。还有不少进藏观光的游客途经索南达杰自然保护站时，也在石头上写下了只言片语的感言。石头上的这些精短美好的文字无不与索南达杰有关。久而久之，这片石头滩就成了可可西里的一片“新碑林”，青藏线上的一处新景观。其中有“可可西里：神秘的地方，可爱的家乡”；“永远做藏羚羊的保护神”；“地球是我们的家，幸福靠大家”；“我们不希望只在网上回味大地母亲的温柔”；“我们的努力是为了能流向未来”；“尽我们所能，还母亲河本色”；“把寒冷推远，也许能用上我的力；把冰雪融化，也许能用上我的热”等等。这些“碑文”像颗颗小星星亮在荒原的高处，星月辉映，可可西里星光灿烂。在这些众多的“碑文”中，恐怕最引人感兴趣的还是这样一则：“可可西里有两个月亮，一个月亮在天上，另一个月亮在楚玛尔河里。她就是索南达杰——北京一军人”！
