Graduates under the Financial CrisisThe class of 2009 could be facing the bleakest job hunt for a generation now the global financial crisis has taken its toll on traditional graduate employment sectors.Graduate recruitment has been either suspended or greatly reduced in many sectors of the economy, particularly in the corporate banking sector, leaving students with unprecedented levels of debt but few of the high-paying career options that successive governments have promised.With graduate numbers increasing on an almost annual basis, any failure in the job market to reflect this increase will create a greater level of competition in an already crowded market. As a result, an increasing number of people are moving back in with parents after finishing university and failing to find a graduate job.According to graduate employment website Milkround.co.uk, students" biggest fear for the future is a lack of jobs. Additionally, students are increasingly shunning careers in the financial sector owing to fears over their security.Spokesman, Mike Bernard said: "There are clear signs graduates will need to be more savvy than ever in their hunt for work and not rely on the usual high numbers of vacancies available in previous years".Darius Norell, founder of graduate recruitment agency, Real World told The Times last week: “[Recruitment at] a lot of the large professional services, such as PricewaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young, is pretty flat, with graduate recruitment neither up nor down. “But banks that are recruiting are taking on less people, and some banks have just stopped completely. It means the competition is that much more intense.” As the annual Scottish Graduate Fair gets under way in Glasgow this week, its organiser Barbara Graham said: “I think everyone would acknowledge that the current economic climate is bound to have an effect on graduate recruitment – anyone looking at the facts would admit that.”While banking organisations such as Northern Rock have suspended recruitment completely, reports are circulating that accountancy organisations will be creating jobs as they struggle to deal with the fall-out from the economic crisis.Charlie Ball, deputy director of research at the Higher Education Careers Service Unit said: "It is going to be accountants who have to deal with all the financial fall outs and mergers; Lehman"s effectively going under and the HBOS and Lloyds merger. 1.泰戈尔的《园丁集》（二八）是一首咏爱情的哲理诗吗 [转] 从泰戈尔开始 我对一切南方有天然的好感和带明确价值判断的热爱：南欧、南美、南太平洋、南亚、以及南中国地带，它们繁茂丰美的植物，开阔辽远的海天，炎热的气候、温润的风、鲜亮的阳光，它们某些历史时代和人文背景，它们的艺术、人物、风土人情，它们既热烈明快又安祥寂静的气息……都与我的精神气质相契合，全世界的南方于我都有家乡般的亲切。 这样的视角诚然有狭隘的地域主义之嫌，但来自南方的人文确恒常带给我如此欢欣，也就愿意在书架上专门拾取这一些珍爱的斑斓光色。 让我从南亚出发。 南亚有泰戈尔，选择他开始，是因为他就具有万物初始的气度神韵，因为他属于我的“精神初恋”，因为在他那儿，飘着一个永远挥不去的影子…… 进大学不久，就在校园里的书店买到他的《吉檀迦利》，自此，如其第一篇说的：“你翻过山岭、越过溪谷带来这小小芦笛，用它吹出永远新鲜的曲调”，贯串我的青春岁月：《流萤集》里的“让我的爱情，/ 像阳光一样，/ 包围着你 / 而又给你光辉灿烂的自由”；《飞鸟集》里的“你微微的笑着，不同我说什么话，而我觉得，为了这个，我已等待得久了”；《鸿鹄集》里的“你是绿中的绿，/ 蓝上的蓝。/ 我的世界在你那儿找到了它的和谐”……直到毕业前，还在阳光树影、清婉鸟声中，用一个静谧悠闲的午后，读他以孩童为主题的《新月集》，恰好为自己清纯无忧、自在无拘的年轻日子——那时我真就像书里写到的“故事中的王子”，“把我的船装满了我所喜欢的东西”——划下一个纪念的句号。 整个大学时期都这样读着泰戈尔，读他的诗情和哲思，对自然万物的相亲体贴，泛神论的敬畏、谦卑、赞叹、尊崇。是从他的诗里，我获得了纯洁清澈的爱（这爱是宽广的，包括了对大自然、对神的爱），获得了宁静、庄穆，获得了轻轻地说、轻轻地呼吸、轻轻地抚摸的能力。 就像一片晨露，泰戈尔恰好来到我的大学桃源露水生涯，滋润着、闪烁着。然而也譬如朝露，随着流变而敛退。 《吉檀迦利》第一篇的结尾说：“许多时代消逝了，你的赐予依旧在倾注，而我的手里还有余地可以容纳。”——走出校园后，我却再没有这种容纳的余地了，失却了从容、安恬的生活和心境，曾饮过的甘露便只能成为永远感激的记忆…… 2004年2月20—21日整理 在最好的时候相遇 在我念大学的上世纪八十年代，上海译文出版社印行过一套泰戈尔诗（及散文诗）集：吴岩译的《吉檀迦利》、《情人的礼物》、《流萤集》、《园丁集》、《茅庐集》、《鸿鹄集》，郑振铎译的《飞鸟集》，汤永宽译的《采果集》、《游思集》。 这九册小书，是林林总总泰戈尔译本里我最心爱的，这除了一些特别的因缘（如《吉檀迦利》是我的第一本泰戈尔、《流萤集》是“爱者之贻”），书品之美也很重要：它们开本窄小，又大都百多页，小巧雅致；尤其王俭设计的封面，素净的底色，中间一幅小图案，清丽而又不惊不喧，甚是可人，且与泰戈尔诗歌的格调十分相配。那时买过的其他出版社的泰戈尔集子，也有装帧不俗的，如人民文学出版社的《新月集》（郑振铎译），出自古干之手的封面，银色底，黄色新月与桔红山川抽象图案，别致可赏，但总不如上译这套的纤巧清雅。 以至像《采果集》，我在大一已买了江西人民出版社“百花洲文库”版本，到大四时见到上译版，虽然同是汤永宽所译，但因为实在喜欢王俭的装帧：一片浓绿，中间错落一堆鲜黄淡绿的小果子——又重新买了。 每次与这些薄薄的旧书相对，心里都会泛起温柔而珍怜的轻轻爱意。 在泰戈尔那里，爱，更多是宗教之爱；情人，通常是对上天、自然和精神的真挚呼唤。所以我也应不怕肉麻地说一句：泰戈尔，是我深深受惠的“青春情人”；这批精致的小书，就是“情人的礼物”。 可是，这“情人”又只属于大学四年。此后，虽然出于对旧爱的纪念，也还继续买他的书，但我之心境、彼之面目双双不复矣。 前者，我聚书不喜重复，惟有泰戈尔反复买过不同的译本、版本，毕业后买的有谢冰心译《吉檀迦利》（人文社）、石真译《采果集u2022爱者之贻u2022渡口》（湖南人民社）等——却也仅此而已，我再没有真正读过他。后者，是再没有遇上那么好那么合衬的书品，九十年代买到仍是上译出版的《金船》和《孟加拉掠影》，但装帧者换了，封面黯然失色，像时代一样颓败下去；而原来那套竟也没有见过再版重印。 一切戛然中止。 也并不是今是昨非式的抛弃。 每次摩挲，仍唤起昔年悠悠的感动。那份情意，长伴心底，无从背叛。 ——但亦不能做更多了。 在适当时日自然的来、自然的去，仿如一个小小的神迹。 那种温和、宁静、清纯、素朴，就是上天赐给我的诗书生涯的。与此后无关。 并将永远隐居于我心深处，混和着满足的感谢、失落的惆怅。 ——这是怎样的一种情感呢？ 2004年2月20—21日整理 在没有归途处回望 上文说到，大学毕业后再没有真正读泰戈尔。 时代、环境、心情都已变易，难以静静聆听他的仙音；也因为时日与己身的纷扰庸俗，怕亵渎了而不敢读。 当然不会是绝对的。 除了像这样为写下记忆而翻检旧日划痕，还有零碎的偶然重逢。——但正是它们，恰恰。 2.泰戈尔《园丁集》句子赏析 【1】：“Eyes are raining for her,heart is holding umbrella for her,this is love”. 眼睛为她下着雨，心却为她打着伞，这就是爱情。 --泰戈尔 《吉檀迦利》 【2】：生如夏花之绚烂，死如秋叶之静美。 --泰戈尔 《生如夏花》 【3】：只有经历过地狱般的磨砺，才能练就创造天堂的力量； 只有流过血的手指，才能弹出世间的绝响。 --泰戈尔 《飞鸟集》 【4】：世界以痛吻我，要我报之以歌。 --泰戈尔 《飞鸟集》 【5】：不要着急，最好的总会在最不经意的时候出现。 --泰戈尔 3.泰戈尔的《园丁集》最优美的30句话 1.
