wycliffe's major task, translating the Bible into English, required great dedication.
translating the Bible into English我认为是participle,是作为形容词,但正确答案是gerund,作为名词.

translating the Bible into English这个整体是task的同位语.
He, the dean of school of law, has a 16-year-old daughter.
这里的the dean of school of law在句子中的成分,和你的句子中的translating……
1、-Jim,look at the door. It's open.Did you remember _ it when you left?
-I'm sure I remembered.
A.to close B.closing
①我认为,remember+infinitive/gerund的区别应是这样的:
remember+ infinitive=to do sth should be done
gerund=to have the memory of doing sth
I remember meeting you one evening at the Capital Theatre.(来源于:《21世纪大英汉词典》);而在+infinitive的结构中,infinitive则是与remember同时发生的。
I remembered _ it when I left.
-Jim,look at the door. It's open.Do you remember closing it when you left?
-I'm sure I remember.
-Jim,
-Jim,
