Actually I like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. In the summer vacation that has just ended I went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. This summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. As a second-year senior student I had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. In other words, I must find time to study, too. So I divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.

Another reason I like maths is that I think maths is fun.Some of you may disagree with me.You may say,“Are you nuts?I don’t think maths is fun at all.It’s nothing but a subject with numbers that drive people crazy.”That may be true.But if you look at maths in another way,then you may change your mind.Just think of every maths problem as a piece of ancient artwork done by Picasso! When you are working on the problem,it’s just like trying to understand what that piece of artwork means.Isn’t it fun when you can understand it while others cannot?Even if you cannot understand it for now,when you are thinking hard on something,then it’s fun too,at least to me.Do you know how much I like maths?I usually spend all my free time working on maths problems.I think it’s a good way of killing time and enter-taining yourself.

May Day of this year is coming soon.We are about to graduate from middle school this term.To celebrate the last Labour's Day our class is planning to devote our used books to many children who live in poor areas.we have many story books and funny books in our selves,but we think it is time to give them to people who are more in need of them.

It’s 11:30.I’m in the school canteen.I have rice,beef and potatoes for lunch.It’s cold today.I wear my new sweater.It’s 25 yuan.It’s cheap.But it’s very nice.I like it very much.

I have a cat named Mimi.Its hair is as white as snow.I often play games with it.It amuses me a lot and I treat it as a little friend.Every morning,I would say goodbye to it before I go to school and Mimi would wave its front-legs to me.It brings me a lot of pleasure.But it takes time and costs money to keep the cat.My parents and I spend much time taking care of it,feeding it and cleaning it.We have to clean the house from time to time,or the cat will make them dirty and smelly.
