Usually what people notice about Britain,especially if they arrived by plane,is the green of the fields,row of bushes and trees making beautiful designs on the land.Although Britain is quite small and has a large population,there are still a lot of trees and fields between towns,and even from the biggest cities it's not dif-ficult to get to the country.Much of the country is of course farm-land but there are of wild paths through the fields,called pubilc footpaths that you can walk along.There is also plenty of wild country you can get to,and much of this is in National Parks and National Forest Parks.There are areas where the country and its animals are specially protected.
Something you may notice about the British country is that in many areas it changes a lot in a short distance.A short drive form the Wye Valley,for example,could take you to the black Mountains in one direction or the Forest of Dean in another.
