打题目的时候漏了snatched 了吧.这是很关键的,如果只是表示状态的话,用over表示“在地面上方”.但是这句句子是被动的,肯定有动词出现,就是表示动作过程的,所以是“从地上”

使用on to,清晰表达了一个物体从高空坠落至另一物体的过程(哈哈,介词的学问其实很奥妙的).
这里是高空坠物,所以用了on to来强化过程(很形象)——直直掉在XX上的意思.如果用了on,就没有这种戏剧化的突发感和形象感了.所以说,作者使用这个介词搭配是有一定用意的.
只有很好的英文作者才会天才般的使用介词表达意境.这对我们这些非英语母语的人来讲有点难以理解以及模妨.

不能~这里的to是表方向的介词,并不是常见的to do里面的不定式.就像come on in!一下用两个介词一样.
