ought to的用法及否定形式

因为ought是助动词,助动词从来都没有过去式的啊
世纪版新英汉词典上说ought是aux,无时态和人称变化,后接动词不定式
牛津高阶第7版上只有ought to .

ought to是应该的意思,而be supposed to do是“被认为应该做” 一个是主动,一个是被动 例：The new laws are supposed to prevent crime.这部新的法律本应是预防犯罪的.You are supposed to finish it before dark.你应该在天黑前完成这项工作.

一般疑问句,在疑问中将ought提到主语之前即可
如:Ought we to have done it? 我们本该做此事吗?
"Ought I to go?" "Yes, you ought (to)." “我该去吗?”“对,你该去.”

没有很大区别,后者更多用于责备.

should的用法
■表示“应该,应当”
He should work harder.他应该更加努力.

'ought to'是指一个人应该做,用与命令人
‘could'适用于给人建议

1.must+have+done
表示对过去事情的肯定推测,译成“一定做过某事”,该结构只用于肯定句.
eg.It must have rained last night,for the ground is wet.昨晚一定下雨了,因为地面还是湿的.
2.can+have+done
表示对过去行为的怀疑,用于疑问句,译成“可能做过……吗?”
eg.There is no light in the room.Can they have gone out?屋里没有灯,他们可能出去了吗?
3..can't+have+done
表示对过去事情的否定推测,译成“不可能做过某事”.
eg.Mr.Smith can‘t have gone to Beijing,for I saw him in the library just now.史密斯先生不可能去北京了,我刚才还在图书馆见过他.
4.could+have+done
是虚拟语气,表示对过去事情的假设,意思是本来能够做某事而没有做.
eg.He could have passed the exam,but he was too careless.本来他能够通过考试,但是他太粗心.
5.may+have+done
表示对发生过的事情的推测,意思是“可能已经”或“也许已经”,用于肯定句中.

9.ought to+have+done

表示本来需要做某事而没有做.“needn‘t+have+done”则表示“本来不需要做某事而做了”.

must表示推测
1) must用在肯定句中表示较有把握的推测,意为"一定".
2) must表对现在的状态或现在正发生的事情的推测时,must 后面通常接系动词be 的原形或行为动词的进行式.
You have worked hard all day.You must be tired.你辛苦干一整天,一定累了.（对现在情况的推测判断）
He must be working in his office.他一定在办公室工作呢.
比较：
He must be staying there.
他现在肯定呆在那里.
He must stay there.
他必须呆在那.
3) must 表示对已发生的事情的推测时,must 要接完成式.
I didn't hear the phone.I must have been asleep.我刚才没有听到电话,我想必是睡着了.
4) must表示对过去某时正发生的事情的推测,must 后面要接不定式的完成进行式.
---Why didn't you answer my phone call?
---Well,I must have been sleeping,so I didn't hear it.
ought to语气更强烈

记住第一点：ought to后面一定是原型,和虚拟语气无关.
第二点：你要的虚拟语气其实已经含在了have been done这个意思里,也即ought to have done sth的意思是你应该做某事（而你却没做）,含有否定的意思,所以是虚拟的.

ought to与should意思接近,大多数情况下二者可以互换,但是should谈的是自己的主观看法,ought to则更多反映客观情况,在谈到法律、义务和规定时使用.
如：We should／ought to help each other and learn from each other in our work．
She is your mother,so you ought to support her．
We ought to go and see Mary tomorrow,but I don’t think we will．

二、ought to的否定式和疑问式
1.ought to的否定形式是ought后直接加not构成,其否定形式可缩写为oughtn't.

2.ought to的疑问式是将ought提到句首构成.

在反意疑问句里,下面两种形式都可以：
He ought to be here now,shouldn't (oughtn't) he?

我认为不仅仅是短语用高级词汇,关键是把握整体结构
比如一篇文章120字,那么可以分为10句话,平均每句12词.
第一句要有亮点,用个非限定性定语从句或者倒装句,总之要用个除了一般句的句型.
按照文章要求可以写成2 4 4结构或者 3 5 2
这10个句子要是能分别用不同的句型写,就更好了.下笔之前要思考,能不能用其他句型表达相同的意思.
