首先要纠正的错误概念,不是让步状语,而是方式状语.
两种省略方式都可以,没有本质区别.
应该说第一种更好,更简练.
但第一句省略的部分是：...no less wise than you (are wise).不是 than you is wise.
第二句的 is 最好也省略,更简练：...than a dog.
