Passage 3
To be a good teacher, you need some of the gifts of a good actor:you must be able to hold the attention of your audience; you must be able to act what you are teaching,in order to make its meaning clear.
The fact that a good teacher has some of the gifts of a actor doesn't mean that he will indeed be able to act well on the stage, for there are very important differences between the teacher's word and actor's.The actor has to speak words which he has learnt by heart; he has to repeat exactly the same words each time he plays a certain part, even his movements and the ways in which he uses his voice are usually fixed beforehand. What he has to do is to make all these carefully learnt words and actions seem natural on the stage.
A good teacher works in quite a different way.His audience takes an active part in his play; they ask and answer questions, they obey orders, and if they don't understand something, they say no.The teacher therefore has to suit his act to the needs of his audience, which is his class. He cannot learn his part by heart, but must invent it as he goes along.
31.The word "gift" in line 1 means __________.
A.present
B.talent
C.something belongs to a good actor
D.the way a teacher should act in class
32.In what way is a teacher's work different from an actor's?
A.The teacher must learn everything by heart.
B.He knows how to control his voice better than an actor.
C.He has to deal with unexpected situations.
D.He has to use more facial expressions.
33.Which of following is TRUE?
A.A teacher's voice must be nicer than an actor.
B.A teacher cannot decide beforehand what exactly he is going to say in class.
C.A teacher must have better memory than an actor.
D.A teacher has to learn by heart what exactly ha is going to say in class.
34.There are some similarities between teachers and actors except _________.
A.a good,strong and pleasing voice
B.the ability to hold the attention of listeners
C.you must be a clever speaker
D.the ability to control unexpected situation
35.According to the passage, which is the best title?
A.Teachers and Actors
B.How to Become a Good Teacher
C.A Good Teacher
D.How to Become a Good Actor

所给答案为什么是A, 而不是B呢?The underlined word “develop” in the passage probably means “______” in Chinese.
A. 出现 B. 发展 C.导致 D. 影响
全文如下:Sitting in front of the television may be relaxing, but spending too much time in front of it may take years off your life. Watching less television may help you live a longer life.
Australian researchers collected information from more than 11,000 people over the age of 25. The study found that if people watched an average of six hours of TV a day, they lived about 4.8 years less than those who didn’t watch any television. Also, people over the age of 25 lose 22 minutes of life for each hour of TV they watch.
Most people know that sitting in front of the television isn’t healthy. The more TV you watch, the less physically active you are. And the less exercise you get, the more chances you have to develop diseases and heart problems.
The study came out in the British Journal of Sports Medicine. Lennert Veerman is the main author of the study. He thinks that the habit of sitting and watching TV long periods of time can lower life expectancy .But Veerman says watching too much TV will lower life expectancy even when people have a good diet.
Veerman says it might be useful for doctors to start asking their patients about how much time they spend in front of the TV. This may be a better way to treat patients than just asking them to get more exercise or have a healthy diet.
Veerman thinks people who care about their health can simply turn off the TV and get off the couch to get some exercise.“Exercise is good ,”he says. “Even light physical activity improves health.”

给你个short passage好了!
People living up in the countryside have a closer relationship with the nature. They are more naïve than those live in a big city. But there are bigger opportunities in the big city, such as better living condition and better education.
In addition, compared with countryside folks, citizens have better living conditions and better education. They do not need to do any family commitments, and they have all kinds of food to eat and toys to play with. They are more skilled academically. They have a more open mind because they have seen and done so many things that the countryside people never seen and done before. For example, the countryside children may not know how to use a computer. The city children do not worry about quitting school due to lack of money like what happens to countryside children sometimes.
