SFU Alumni 路过，商科，Concentration：Operations Management，女，2010-2014首先温哥华是个好地方，风景美，气候好，在温哥华呆过人会感觉在加拿大的其他城市的气候没那么宜居。这个城市有最美的海滩，路上常常能偶遇到各路明星，有世界各地汇聚而来的美食。SFU的三个Compus都在温哥华，各有各的美。Burnaby整个校区的规划感非常强，在多雨的温哥华基本不用打伞，也不用像其他学校那样在风里雨里狂奔，整个校园的教室基本都是连通的。Surrey Compus的透明大楼很美，很现代。Downtown的校区位置很好，逛街累了都可以回到校园坐一坐，喝杯咖啡看看书。各个校园都是随手拍一张都可以当电脑桌面的那种美。本来我的成绩可以转UBC，UBC名气更大一些，后来眷恋SFU的Co-op项目（帮助每个人找到最佳工作经验的一个项目，会教写简历，帮忙review简历，还有校招活动和企业库可供选择）和人情味，还有严谨的治学精神，放弃了丰富多彩的UBC校园生活，可能也是因为我下雨天不喜欢带伞吧，lol。其实SFU的商科读起来不轻松，实行淘汰制度，淘汰率还蛮高的，商务英文写作我在读的时候，各班淘汰率20-45%不等。因治学严谨，SFU是北美最难毕业的16所院校之一，7年毕业率仅70%左右。学校里学术氛围非常浓厚，每个人都是很忙的状态。如果想拿高分或是读书轻松一点，可以改道去城市另一端的UBC。学校很多免费的workshop，商科的学生我参加过的有写简历的workshop，领导力课程，商务礼仪、社交礼仪、品酒礼仪、各种商学院的晚宴等社交场合。对留学生的照顾也是很周到的，有International Student Center，签证之类的遇到任何问题都可以找他们。到工作岗位以后我都深深感谢在这个学校里学习到的各种神技能。举几个栗子吧，有一门选修课IAT100，仅仅是因为这一门课，我现在会Adobe PS、AI、After Effects等等软件，公司做宣传册、做宣传动画片我都能亲手做，很有趣也很实用。商务写作课上的严苛训练也让我在工作场合的英文邮件能够顺利拿得出手，当时一把鼻涕一把泪学过来的科目，读的时候就知道会很有帮助，但不知道到工作中帮助这么大。学了一学期的日语，然后去日本没带导游，也没跟旅行社，到京都、下吕这种比较传统的日本城市，没有人会说中英文，沟通简单的日本语生活还算过得去，挺顺利的。当时读的时候老师很好，让我们去街上找日本为母语的人联系，然后征得对方同意后录音上传，平时的练习也是录音填空的方式进行，学的很扎实。学习的计算机选修课3门帮助我顺利写网页代码，虽然没有计算机专业的人写的好，但我现在任职公司的新网站就是我来监制的，勉强够用。运营管理学到的lean supply chain方面的知识对企业精益管理、持续改进、资源最优配置等降低运营成本非常有帮助。运营管理的思维导图的绘制能够帮忙理清思路，找到产能瓶颈，最大化生产效益。FIC的读书经历很重要，我当时的语言课程和大一课程是连在一起的，可以一年读完，不耽误宝贵的青春。在FIC我收获了把英文当做母语来理解的能力，Academic Writing与我们在国内学的生活用语非常不同，它所教授的英文论文行文结构对之后紧张、高淘汰率的商科课程非常有帮助。不但会帮助到写作，还会帮助到阅读方面的理解。这些就是我现在能够想到的对我大学生活印象最深刻部分的介绍，希望能够帮到您。
