Stekel，作为与弗洛伊德同时代却又与其意见相左的精神病学家，现在为大众所知大半是因为那句对成熟与否的界定（同样出现在《麦》中）：The mark of the immature man is that he wants to die nobly for a cause, while the mark of a mature man is that he wants to live humbly for one。素子用它来形容笑脸男人的心态，却是再合适不过，或者说，这是一切事件的另一心理渊源。第二个充当了笑脸男人想法的诠释者角色之人是DzigaVertov。这位有着激进思想的前苏联导演一直遵守着自己创立的法则，坚持用自己的创新手法拍摄他所愿意拍摄的东西——现实，并让观众能通过自己的电影去“感受世界”。但正如评论家所说，Vertov的作品被要求从认知论的质询，以电影的形式来向世界展示真相，从这点来看，他和笑脸男人的初始动机有相似之处，只是作为让大众看到真相的机器存在；而后期，笑脸男人不得不半屈从于现实，承认自己的幼稚和单纯，却也与Vertov看上去“激进但大半生却不得不服从于政权”的特点有着相当的默契。当笑脸男人事件的心理和社会影响度都大大超过始作俑者葵的预料时，这个固守于图书馆的少年开始反思自己的存在和消失究竟会对剩下的人产生多少余波，从而出现了第三位和第四位重量级诠释者——Frederic Jameson和大泽真幸。前者是后现代理论的主力支持者和研究者，后者则是致力于决定社会秩序的相对社会范式产生机制。至今所能记得的Frederic Jameson的言论就是他提出的四个后现代主义关键性的二律背反：时间与空间，主体与客体，天性与人性，以及最后乌托邦的概念。在后现代主义的问题上，Jameson一直恪守着后现代的模糊性，即在社会体系和文化献现象中始终保持着模糊而核心的思想，同时逐渐摒弃快乐主义的辅助。这种对抗性文化正是Jameson的后现代主义最能被人接受并加以应用的部分。在葵看来，信息并行化的结果最终导致了个体性的消失，Jameson的理论似乎更尽职的解释着个性和个人的终结，这其中取消了对任何因果性和确定性的追求，排除了意义统一构成的可能性和终极价值存在的可能性。主体消失后的自我成了这样一种状态：自我的荒谬，自我的萎缩，自我的缺席，自我的零散化和失名，从而起到了“原版消失而拷贝版在扮演着原版角色”的作用；或许还有“拼贴”的意味在其中：各种没有新意的模仿被重新排列组合，成为一个个“新的实体”出现在人们面前，一如那些被大大小小的计划牵制着的拷贝版笑脸男人，而即使其消失，影响依然渗透到了社会体系的要害，从而继续控制着整个社会机器的运作，换句话讲，消失只能使影响扩大化，说到这里，Jameson恐怕就会在笑了，笑脸男人的所作所为在战战兢兢的沿着自己设定的方向演化下去。谈到个体，大泽真幸不能不提，暂且按下SAC中所引用的言论不表，单单说到他在“个体和第三人的场合”领域的研究，结合Jameson的理论，素子和笑脸男人的谈话就可以渐渐明朗化了。在大泽真幸的研究领域中，个体的交流性始终是驱动社会范式产生和发展的原动力，对“个体”的强调，事实上正中后现代情结的下怀：后现代所期望的模糊性在社会体系与自然环境的非连续性中得以体现。素子说笑脸男人实际上却少了一个对“个体”理解的切入点——好奇心，因为这是交流性的表现特点之一，可以说在“好奇”的基础上，交流才会成为可能，继而演化为维持个体以及所在系统的充分条件。将上面的言论列为方程组，有可能会得出如下解：stand Complex。不同于SAC中的暗线铺述，GIG开篇便以一系列有关难民的恐怖活动为线索切入主题。在SAC中并未提及的难民问题，成为GIG中一项重要的背景设定。由于大战后日本所推行的难民政策，使的大批遭受战争迫害、无家可归的难民涌入日本,但事实上政府缺乏妥善安置这些难民的能力。随着时间的推移，原先出于人道因素接纳的难民逐渐成为日本的社会、经济和政治上的焦点。大量流入的人口给日本带来了巨大的冲击，难民成为了日本政府所必须面对的重要问题。伴随着政府同难民间的矛盾日益尖锐，渐渐出现了由众多激进分子所引发的恐怖活动。公安九科在针对难民问题的各种案件调查中，一个代号为“个别的11人”的组织逐渐浮现出水面。而九科所掌握的众多线索也渐渐指向一名叫做“久世英雄”的男子。但随着案情的进一步深入，九科队员们发现事实的真相远比他们想象中的复杂。在各种恐怖活动和突发事件的背后，一个有着怪异长相的男人－合田一人在阴影中操作着一切。合田利用内阁情报厅顾问的特殊身份在政府和难民原本就已紧张万分的关系间挑拨，进一步激化两者的矛盾。意图以此夸大事态，从而实现自己的政治野心和他的个人目的。如果说SAC是九科同政府高层中腐败势力斗争的话，那GIG的主线便是和以国家、政治为玩物的高超阴谋家－合田一人之间的对抗。<B>幕后黑手－合田一人</B>作为GIG中最大的幕后黑手，除去有着怪异的长相，合田还具有远超常人的智慧和城府。无论是作为难民领袖的久世，还是公安九科几乎从头到尾都被其玩弄与鼓掌之中。为了加剧难民同政府间的矛盾和对抗，合田散布了他所研制的“个别的11人”电子脑病毒，造成了多起和难民问题相关、貌似Stand Alone Complex（注1）的恐怖活动。在被九科识破真实目的后，合田又不慌不忙的利用已是难民领袖的久世，制造出难民已经拥有核武的假相，促使难民发布了独立宣言。在日本政府出动自卫队后，合田又计划在自卫队总攻的同时，依靠暗中联系的美帝发射核导弹彻底摧毁难民的聚集地－出岛半岛。（对外则宣称是难民为应付自卫队的攻击而自爆了他们所拥有的核武）以此促进日本军事、经济以及政体的变革，从而满足他改造日本的野心。在九科队员的努力下虽然最后的核攻击被成功阻止了，但合田的阴谋真的完全失败了吗？在动画中可以发现在自卫队发动总攻前，合田曾命令手下向警士厅寄出过一封特快信件。而这封应该就是在26集中合田所提及向警方自首、坦白其罪行的信件（注2）。以当时的情况而言，合田还掌握着绝对的优势，局势的发展都在其控制之内，似乎完全没有这么做的理由。而在获知核导弹攻击失败后，合田也没有表现出特别的失望。从他的答复“算了，总之通过茅葺（动画中日本现任总理）的行动，冷战的构造得以形成。”来推测，GIG中所显现出的阴谋很可能只是合田整个计划中的一部分。荒卷科长指挥的特警队开始突击，标准着合田末日的来临。虽然很早察觉出了合田的阴谋并全力阻止,但在同合田的对抗中公安九科一直处于被动地位。如果不是塔奇克玛的再次自我牺牲，合田的阴谋几乎就要完美的实现。纵观整部GIG无论面对何种形势，合田始终保持着一贯的冷静和沉着，而这是建立在其极端自负的基础之上。但讽刺的是也恰恰是这份自负，使的合田轻视了九科的力量，从而导致了最终的失败。虽然引渡到美帝的企图没有实现，合田被素子击毙。但这位相貌BT、擅长玩弄权势、操作情报的黑衣男子完全可以说是九科所面对的众多敌人中最危险和最具破坏性的，实在无愧于幕后大黑手之名。<B>孤独的革命家－久世英雄</B>久世是名比较复杂，同时略带悲剧色彩的人物。领导难民实现独立不仅仅是出于对难民现状的同情。其中还参杂着相当的个人因素。获得独立仅仅是理想中的一环，久世真真期望的是更高层次的革命－带领难民抛弃现有的肉体，将Ghost和记忆全部投身到虚拟的网络之中（注3）。之所以会产生类似的愿望同久世童年时的不幸遭遇有着密切关系。当时因为空难、几乎全身瘫痪的久世在素子的鼓励下接受了全身义体化。虽然再次获得了自由行动的能力，但易于常人的身体构造使久世存在着相当的异样感。成年后在朝鲜半岛所经历的战斗进一步坚定了久世的思想。为寻求真真的解答，久世脱离日本军队在世界各地旅行。印证自己理想的同时寻求着能够依靠并且填补自己孤单心灵的对象。在得到难民的理解和体会到难民的苦难后，久世开始了自己的行动。不幸的是久世所追求的目标成为了合田利用的对象。从动画中久世的前后表现来看，开始意图暗杀总理显然也是受到“个别的11人”病毒的影响。虽然有着优秀的领导天赋，但久世一直没能摆脱合田的控制。在合田谱写的剧本中，久世成为了激化难民同政府间矛盾和对抗的工具。出岛的动乱结束后，被捕的久世遭到了美帝的暗杀。虽然”革命”最终没有实现,但抛弃人造身体投身网络世界对于久世来说更多的是一种寻求平等和摆脱孤独的方式（见26集和素子的谈话）。被困地下时，同过去总重要的好友－素子的彻心交谈以及从被捕时和被害前流露出的表情来看，显然最后久世得到了他所一直在追寻的东西。从这个意义上来说，久世还是死有其所的。在生死的危机前，两个同样拥有不幸经历的灵魂彼此相拥，是否意味着孤单的心灵得到了寄托和安慰？<B>关于日本政府及其他</B>接替因为“笑脸男人”丑闻而垮台的前届内阁，新上任的茅葺政府事实上并没有什么实权。当危机来临时，真真操控政府和军队的是亲美派官员―官房。而幕前的总理则成为了事后背黑锅、承担责任的对象。不过有趣的是看似与合田站在同一立场的官房，实际他们两者间并没有明确的联系。从官房的对话 “我不能看着核自暴不关。”“我只是考虑到国家的未来，把（日美）安保提前了而已。”中可以看出，他仅仅是遵照着美帝的意图在行动，甚至连难民拥有核武的真伪情况也不得而知。合田与官房两人的行为意外的构成了一起小小的Stand Alone Complex，这戏剧性的一幕给GIG的结尾增添了不少趣味色彩。被官房监禁的茅葺总理在得到九科的协助成功脱出后,为了阻止核攻击曾向美帝提出过交涉请求。但熟知日本政权现状的美帝政府,完全采取了忽视的态度不予理睬。迫于无奈, 上面之所以会出现“Fatal Error”，是因为没有搞对Security Bytes.在烧录的时候，该芯片会进入监控模式。在监控模式中安全特性禁止对FLASH未授权的读写。如果烧录器发送的Security Bytes和单片机内部的$FFF6~$FFFD中的数据不能对应相等，烧录器便不能正确读到单片机的flash内容，就会报错。
